On 6/28/2023 I responded to someone trying to enter the residence at [100 BLOCK] Nandina Way. When I arrived I spoke with the complainant Ms. [VICTIM #1].

Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that Mr. Darrell Radford was at her house looking around. She stated that this was his second time being at the house today. She stated that he was looking underneath the garage trying to get into the house. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated Mr. Darrell showed up at her work earlier that day. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised officers that her and Mr. Darrell had a relationship in the past but she ended things.

Mr. Darrell called Ms. [VICTIM #1] while officers were on the scene. Mr. Darrell stated he was at the house to talk to Ms. [VICTIM #1]. Ms. [VICTIM #1] then told Mr. Darrell to come back to the house. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated he drives a motorcycle or a white Toyota truck. Mr. Darrell stated he was on the way back to the house not knowing police were on the scene.

While I was sitting in my patrol vehicle I observed a white Tacoma pickup drive by slowly. When I told other officers we tried to catch up to the Tacoma, but we were unable to locate the white Tacoma. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised that Mr. Darrell was residing at [100 BLOCK] W Mulberry Apartment #[REDACTED] in Savannah.

Mr. Darrell then talked to officers and was advised to come back to [100 BLOCK] Nandina Way but he refused. Ms. [VICTIM #1] also advised of the text messages that Mr. Darrell has sent her. One message Mr. Darrell texted was “When I find him f*cking kill like you could not believe I will f*cking pull his legs from his body.”

Another message Mr. Darrell sent was “Tell [REDACTED] to lock the fu*king garage that won’t help. I’m gonna find that f*cking man and I’m gonna take his f*cking life.” There were several messages that Mr. Darrell sent that were implying to take someone’s life.

Mr. Darrell was told he needed to come back to the scene by officers multiple times but refused. Mr. Darrell advised if we wanted to speak to him we would have to come to his house. Myself and Apo. Kelly made contact with Savannah PD.

We advised Savannah Pd that we had Mr. Darrell living at [100 BLOCK] W Mulberry Apartment #[REDACTED]. Savannah PD met me and Apo. Kelly at [100 BLOCK] W Mulberry Apartment #[REDACTED]. Mr. Darrell was told to come outside multiple times we refused. I tried to make contact via phone but he refused to answer.

Mr. Darrell eventually came outside and talked to officers. Mr. Darrell was placed into handcuffs double-locked and checked for fit. He was advised he was under arrest for Stalking DVA and Harassing Communications. Mr. Darrell was given a $1,300 bond and was taken to the Chatham County Detention Center and released to deputies. Mr. Darrell was given a court date of September 7th at 10:00 am at the Pooler Municipal Court House.
