On 12 November 2025, at approximately 1930 hours, while on uniform patrol in the unincorporated area of Chatham County, I, Officer R. Sanders, responded to ([10 BLOCK]-[20 BLOCK]) Willow Lakes Drive in reference to shots fired. My body-worn camera was active.

While en route, Chatham 911 Dispatch advised at approximately 1932 hours that a black male, with no shirt on and black sweats by the name of Davion, was outside of the address, [20 BLOCK] Willow Lakes Drive, actively shooting. Central Square CAD notes updated at approximately 1932 hours to include that the suspect was actively shooting at a white Dodge Charger- second complainant. At this point, I responded to Willow Lakes Drive with emergency lights and sirens.

Upon entering Willow Lakes Drive, just before the pond, I encountered a black male walking along the side of the road, shirtless and wearing black sweats/joggers. I exited my patrol vehicle and asked the black male for his name; he advised it was Davion. I placed Davion in handcuffs behind his back, double-locked, and checked for fit. I conducted a TERRY FRISK for weapons and did not locate any on his person. I placed Davion in the rear seat of my patrol vehicle and secured him with a seat belt.

Davion advised that his name was God and that he tossed the gun a few houses down. I canvassed the area of Willow Lakes Drive and located a Black Taurus 9X19 Handgun in the yard of [10 BLOCK] Willow Lakes Drive. I took photos of where the firearm was located and cleared the firearm of any live rounds; none were in the chamber or magazine, and placed it in the trunk of my patrol vehicle, securing it.

While in front of [10 BLOCK] Willow Lakes Drive, [WITNESS #1] approached and informed me that a “bullet” came through the window of his home while his wife, [VICTIM #1], and newborn child, [VICTIM #2], were inside the residence. [WITNESS #1] was not home at the time of the incident. (Later learned that [VICTIM #1] placed a 911 call advising of the incident at approximately 1938 hours.)

Officer Murrell informed me that he had located shell casings in the driveway of [20 BLOCK] Willow Lakes Drive. Officer Murrell photographed the shell casings, and I collected four shell casings and one live round.

I made contact with the driver of the white Dodge Charger, [VICTIM #3], who advised that he was going to his girlfriend’s, [VICTIM #4], house at [100 BLOCK] Wax Myrtle CT, and was about to make the right turn from Willow Lakes Drive onto Wax Myrtle CT when a black male just started shooting at him.

Mr. [VICTIM #3] went on to advise that the black male started jumping up and down and shooting in the air. After being shot at, Mr. [VICTIM #3] continued down Willow Lakes Drive, got to a safe place, and called Chatham 911. Mr. [VICTIM #3] advised that the vehicle belonged to his girlfriend, Ms. [VICTIM #4], who was on scene. She advised that the cost to repair the vehicle would be between $2500 and $5000 and she wished to press charges.

Mr. [VICTIM #3] advised that he did not know why he was shooting at him. And after learning who it was, he advised he knew the family but that he had not spoken with him or his mother for several months.

I observed a bullet hole in the right front headlight and a second bullet hole in the roof of the vehicle on the right side. Ms. [VICTIM #4] was instructed to obtain an estimate of the actual cost and to send me the invoice for the estimate to my county email address as soon as possible. (I provided her with my email)

I read Davion Davis his MIRANDA RIGHTS, and he advised when asked if he wished to speak with “F*CK NO.”

Davion at first was secured in a seat belt with his handcuffs behind his back. At some point, he had unbuckled his seat belt and moved his handcuffs to the front of his person.

Davion was transported to CCDC at approximately 2041 hours, and I arrived at approximately 2055 hours. Davion was released into CCSO custody without issue, and his Lightning McQueen Crocs were also placed inside his personal item bag.

The Black Taurus Handgun 9mm was logged into the CCPD property room along with the four shell casings and one live round and placed into locker three at approximately 2140 hours as evidence.

All photos were uploaded to Evidence.com.

The rear seat of my patrol vehicle was checked before and after transport and was negative for contraband and weapons.

Davion Davis was charged and arrested for OCGA 16-5-21 AGGRAVATED ASSAULT 3 counts when he used a deadly weapon (FIREARM) offensively against a person(s) ([VICTIM #3] and [VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #2]), that is likely to or actually does result in serious bodily injury.

Davion Davis was charged and arrested for OCGA 16-7-23 CRIMINAL DAMAGES TO PROPERTY 2nd DEGREE 2 counts when he intentionally damages any property (DODGE CHARGE AND HOME) of another person without their consent, and the damage thereto exceeded $500.00.

Davion Davis was charged and arrested for OCGA 16-11-106 POSSESSION OF A FIREARM DURING THE COMMISSION OF A FELONY when he had in his possession a FIREARM when he committed a crime against another person.

A CRN was generated.
