On March 9th, 2026, at approximately 1835 I responded to 331 Main Street (Orange Motel) in reference to a hit and run. Upon my arrival I observed a silver in color Nissan Rouge with GA tag [REDACTED] with noticeable damage to the passenger side door. The owner was identified as [VICTIM #1].
[VICTIM #1] stated that while she was at work, at approximately 1745 hours on March 9th, 2026 she noticed a dented on the passenger side door of her vehicle. [VICTIM #1] stated that due to the way her vehicle was parked there would be no way it happened at her job.
[VICTIM #1] returned to her residence (Orange Motel) and requested to view the security camera footage.
Footage revealed a black in color Cadillac SUV backing into the passenger door of [VICTIM #1]’s vehicle at 0645 hours on the morning of March 9th, 2026. The driver was seen slowing down, observing the damage, and driving away from the scene. The driver of the Cadillac was an African American female exiting an apartment on the west side of the complex.
The driver of the Cadillac was later identified through property records as Denisha Smalls.
[VICTIM #1] obtained Smalls contact information through the management office and contacted Smalls. [VICTIM #1] stated that she wanted to prosecute. Smalls stated that she would pay [VICTIM #1] out of pocket for the damage and stated she would be home from work after 10:00pm. Smalls did not provide any insurance information to [VICTIM #1] during their phone call.
At approximately 2220 hours I followed up at 331 Main Street. The black Cadillac was in the parking lot in front of apartment [REDACTED].
I knocked on the door and made contact with a juvenile that stated the driver of that vehicle was his sister Denisha and that at that time she was at the store. The Juvenile informed me that Smalls works at the Parkers gas station on Highway 21.
I Informed the juvenile to tell Smalls that we needed to talk to her.
