On 4 Jan 2025 at 1428hrs I responded to a domestic dispute at Sonic (185 Pooler Parkway). I made contact with Ms. [VICTIM #1] and her juvenile son. The juvenile was visibly distraught, crying and screaming. Ms. [VICTIM #1] was also visibly distraught and shaking.

Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated the following:

She was doing food delivery at the time her husband Mr. Franyer PAREDES walked to their vehicle and began taking multiple items. The items taken were her Social Security card, drivers license, her passport, her wallet, JUV 1’s passport, and the title to the vehicle. PAREDES then opened the hood of the car and removed the ignition fuse from the vehicle, rendering the vehicle useless as it would no longer crank. PAREDES then charged at Ms. [VICTIM #2] who was standing under the awning at Sonic.

PAREDES was attempting to grab something that Ms. [VICTIM #2] was holding in her arm when Ms. [VICTIM #1] attempted to intervene. PAREDES then proceeded to charge at Ms. [VICTIM #1] and they began physically fighting. She then stated that he grabbed JUV 1, pulling him and leaving visible red marks in the shape of fingers on his arms. JUV 1 also received a scratch on his arm that was lightly bleeding. [VICTIM #1] then stated he grabbed her by the hand and she had visible red markings on her hand.

PAREDES then fled on foot and went towards Benton Blvd. PAREDES was found at Murphy’s Express by Apo. Schmitt and Sgt. Zeigler where he was promptly placed under arrest and transported back to the incident location.

Ms. [VICTIM #1] was given a domestic violence phamplet and was advised of additional services. PAREDES was transported to Memorial Medical Center for medical clearance and then transported to the Chatham County Detention Center where he was issued copies of all necessary paperwork. PAREDES was turned over to the on duty jail staff without incident. He was not issued a bond at this time.
