On December 21, 2025 I, Ofc. Stoklosa was dispatched to Nassau Woods at [1600 BLOCK] Dean Forest Road lot [REDACTED], in Garden City Georgia-31408. This was in response to a 911 Hang Up.

Upon arrival, Officers made contact with the victim identified as [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] stated there was argument which occurred between himself and his Grandmother, identified as Gwendolyn Warren. [VICTIM #1] stated he and Gwendolyn started arguing because Gwendolyn had been watching his child during the weekend and was supposed to drop the child off with his mother. [VICTIM #1] stated he wanted to go with them, but she wouldn’t let him because he did not have a good relationship with the mother’s new boyfriend.

[VICTIM #1] advised us they were “cool” and there would have been no issues if he went with her. [VICTIM #1] stated Gwendolyn went to drop off his child and when she returned home the argument continued. [VICTIM #1] stated the argument escalated to the point where he swore at Gwendolyn, and as he was walking from his back bedroom towards the front of the house (at the AC unit), Gwendolyn picked up a hammer and threw it in his direction, missing him and hitting the floor directly in front of him. He then picked up the hammer and hit a piece of glass on the ground, shattering it.

Gwendolyn explained she was watching the child and knew there would be an issue between [VICTIM #1] and his child’s mother if he went with her to drop the child off, so an argument ensued. She further advised she was tired of making him food, paying his phone bill, and giving him rides. Gwendolyn confirmed that when she returned home from giving [VICTIM #1]’s child back to the mother, the argument continued. Gwendolyn stated [VICTIM #1] did swear at her and she admitted to picking up the hammer and throwing it at [VICTIM #1]. Gwendolyn stated she did not intend to hit [VICTIM #1] but was upset with him and wanted to scare him.

[WITNESS #1] was in the living room with his grandfather, identified as [WITNESS #2], when the incident occurred.

Based on the investigation it was determined to place Gwendolyn under arrest for aggravated assault and cruelty to children in the 3rd degree.

[VICTIM #1], [WITNESS #1] and [WITNESS #2] were given a Garden City victim pamphlet and given instructions on how to receive a copy. Gwendolyn was not given a bond at this time and waits to be arraigned.
