[NARRATIVE #1 on March 30, 2026]

On March 30, 2026, I was dispatched to [100 BLOCK] Commons Way, Apt [REDACTED] in reference to a domestic disturbance. On my arrival I knocked on the apartment door, and while waiting I observed a black female visibly in distress. I identified her as Ms. Iman Odom who explained that her and her ex-boyfriend Mr. [VICTIM #1] had just got into a physical altercation.

When I asked Ms. Odom for more details of what occurred she began to cry, informing me Mr. [VICTIM #1] and her share the residence and they are no longer together. Mr. [VICTIM #1] had brought a female over to the residence without Ms. Odoms knowledge and it upset her. She then explained that she left the residence to go be with family for the time being until the female that Mr. [VICTIM #1] had over left. Ms. Odom came back to the residence where she confronted Mr. [VICTIM #1] about moving her belongings out of the bedroom and placing them by the front door.

Ms. Odom then told Mr. [VICTIM #1] that he was not to touch her things and began telling him that she was going to throw his things out. She then went for his Xbox gaming console, where Mr. [VICTIM #1], to remove it from her hands, grabbed her, moving her from his gaming console. Ms. Odom then grabbed a black Machete allegedly to defend herself where Mr. [VICTIM #1] disarmed her, causing a minor scratch to the palm of her hand.

Mr. [VICTIM #1] then tossed the weapon under the couch, where Ms. Odom then told me that she placed Mr. [VICTIM #1] in a choke hold and held onto him until Mr. [VICTIM #1] stuck his thumb into Ms. Odoms left eye forcing her to release Mr. [VICTIM #1]. She then informed me that she threw a perfume bottle at his face causing a laceration above his left eyebrow.

After checking Ms. Odom I could not see any visible injuries to her hands, nor to her left eye. Ms. Odom explained that Mr. [VICTIM #1] nearly took her left eye out of its socket and that she had to place it back in. While Fire and Emergency medical services evaluated Ms. Odom, I went and spoke to Mr. [VICTIM #1]. As I approached Mr. [VICTIM #1], I could see that he had a laceration above his left eye where Ms. Odom previously pointed out, I asked him what occurred in the residence.

Mr. [VICTIM #1] informed me that he and Ms. Odom are no longer in a relationship where they just share a residence, and he was doing nothing more than just removing her belongings from the bedroom just to clean up, when Ms. Odom came into the residence screaming and cursing at him. He then informed me that she then told him she was going to throw his items away and went to grab his Xbox gaming console. Mr. [VICTIM #1] then grabbed her, removing her hands from his property. Mr. [VICTIM #1] then explained that she grabbed the machete where he felt in fear that she was going to potentially cut him.

Mr. [VICTIM #1] then disarmed Ms. Odom, removing the machete from her hands, before tossing it underneath the couch. Ms. Odom then proceeded to place Mr. [VICTIM #1] in a headlock choking him. I asked Mr. [VICTIM #1] at any point during the choking did he lose consciousness, to where Mr. [VICTIM #1] informed me that he began to black out but prior to doing so he stuck his thumb into Ms. Odoms eye forcing her to release him.

Ms. Odom then tossed a perfume bottle at Mr. [VICTIM #1], striking him in the face. At that point Mr. [VICTIM #1] left the residence calling the police. Mr. [VICTIM #1] sustained a laceration to his face above his left eyebrow, minor scratches to both his left and right arms, a scratch to both the front and the back of his neck. And a minor laceration to his right hand just below his thumb.

Ofc. Bedwell recovered the weapon based on the location that was given by Ms. Odom who informed him that she removed it from the residence and tossed it behind the building as soon as Police arrived. (See Ofc. Bedwell Supplemental).

After talking to both parties Ms. Odom was deemed the primary aggressor, due to her initiating the fight by attempting to destroy Mr. [VICTIM #1]s property. I placed Ms. Odom in handcuffs double locking them and checking them for proper fit and placed her into the back of my patrol car.

Ms. Odoms chargers are as follows.
-1 Count 16-5-23A2 Simple Battery DVA
-2 Counts AGGRAVTED ASSAULT
-1 Count Tampering with Evidence

Ms. Odom was then transported to Memorial where she was medically cleared, for transport to the Chatham County detention center. Ms. Odom was not given a bond due having a Felony charge and was given a court date of June 25th, 2026, at 10:00, at the Pooler Municipal courthouse. Mr. [VICTIM #1] was also issued a Subpoena for the same court date.

[NARRATIVE #2 on March 30, 2026]

On 03/30/2026, I responded to [100 BLOCK] Commons Way Apt [REDACTED] to assist Ofc. O’Grady with a domestic violence call.

My involvement included retrieving the machete from behind the residence where Ms. Odom stated she had tossed it before police arrived on scene. The machete was located at the base of a tree that is directly behind her apartment building. I took long range, midrange, and close up pictures of the machete where it was located prior to securing it. Those pictures were sent to Ofc. O’Grady to attach to this report.

I then secured the machete for evidence and transfered custody of it to Ofc. O’Grady.
