On November 13th, 2025, at approximately 1814 hours, I responded to [700 BLOCK] E Park Ave regarding a domestic disturbance.
Upon arriving on the scene, I was met by [VICTIM #1]. I was immediately able to observe blood on her shirt and blood coming from a wound on her left hand. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that, at approximately 1805 hours, on November 13th, 2025, Jamari Taylor knocked on the front door of her residence.
Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated she was recently on the phone with a friend, so she believed it was them knocking on the door. Believing it was a friend at the door, Ms. [VICTIM #1] did not check her doorbell camera before opening the door, as she usually does. According to Ms. [VICTIM #1], as soon as she opened the door, Mr. Taylor said, ” Yeah b*tch, now what?” and the two began to fight.
Ms. [VICTIM #1] then ran upstairs to grab her phone to call the police when she realized her phone was actually in the kitchen. While upstairs, Mr. Taylor threw a picture frame at Ms. [VICTIM #1], breaking it. According to Ms. [VICTIM #1], she slipped on the glass, falling to the ground and cutting her hand. She stated that while she was on the ground, Mr. Taylor put one hand around her neck and began choking her. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that she had to move around in order to breathe while she was being choked. In an attempt to get away from Mr. Taylor, she threw herself down the stairs and then ran outside.
(NOTE: I was not able to observe any signs of strangulation, such as marks or bruising on the neck or petechiae in the eyes, on Ms. [VICTIM #1].)
While she was outside, Mr. Taylor picked up a toy four-wheeler, described by Ms. [VICTIM #1] as a “power wheel”, and threw it at her. The power wheel hit the screen door, causing visible damage to the door. He then exited the residence and pushed Ms. [VICTIM #1] off the porch where she fell headfirst to the ground. Mr. Taylor then picked up the power wheel and threw it at her again before jumping off the porch and punching her in the head.
Ms. [VICTIM #1] then made her way to the front of the house, where the physical altercation continued. She stated she was pulling Mr. Taylor’s hair, and he bit her on the top of her head to make her let go. Mr. Taylor then fled the scene in a burgundy pickup truck with two other unidentified occupants heading west on E Park Ave.
(NOTE: No bite marks were observed on Ms. [VICTIM #1]’s head where she claims to have been bitten.)
[REDACTED], at [700 BLOCK] E Park Ave, was able to obtain video footage from her porch camera of Mr. Taylor jumping off the porch and punching Ms. [VICTIM #1]. She was provided a community request link to upload footage of the incident to evidence.com.
Ms. [VICTIM #1] was able to capture a portion of the incident on her door camera. She was also provided a community request link to upload the footage to evidence.com
I spoke with [WITNESS #1] at [700 BLOCK] E Park Ave. He stated that he heard yelling from inside his home, and when he came outside to see what was going on, he observed Mr. Taylor dragging Ms. [VICTIM #1] by her shirt. He captured a video on his cell phone of Mr. Taylor leaving the scene in a burgundy truck heading west on E Park Ave. He was sent a community request link to upload the cell phone footage to evidence.com
During this entire event, Ms. [VICTIM #1]’s two children, whom she shares with Mr. Taylor, were following them around the house, witnessing the events.
EMS responded to the scene and evaluated Ms. [VICTIM #1]’s injuries.
Detectives responded to the scene.
A supervisor responded to the scene.
