[NARRATIVE #1 on January 24, 2026]
On January 24, 2026, I was dispatched to Planet Fitness regarding a domestic situation between two people. Other officers arrived on the scene and spoke to a witness who stated a black male and a black female were arguing, and it appeared the male might have been hitting the female. While searching the area, I noticed a black male walking out of the Extended Stay Hotel. The male, later identified as Jesus Ravelo, was walking towards the Tanger Outlets parking lot, yelling out in Spanish for a female. I exited my patrol vehicle and walked towards the subject, radioing to the other officers closer to the hotel to stop Mr. Ravelo and talk to him.
Mr. Ravelo walked into the hotel and I stopped him at the elevator. I told Mr. Ravelo to come here, and he said no and then asked why. I asked him if he was just looking for his girlfriend, and he stated he was minding his own business. Mr. Ravelo started to walk onto the elevator and stated he was not detained and I advised him that he was. I advised Mr. Ravelo that he would be arrested for obstruction if he did not exit the elevator and speak to officers.
Mr. Ravelo continued to be disorderly and stated he was going up to his room, and asked what crime caused him to be detained. I told him the crime would be obstruction and disorderly if he did not come out of the elevator. Mr. Ravelo did not move, so I walked into the elevator and attempted to grab his right arm to place him in handcuffs.
Mr. Ravelo backed up into the corner and put his arm up into the air. I pulled my taser out, activated it, and advised Mr. Ravelo that he would be tased if he did not put his hands behind his back. Other officers grabbed his arms while I performed a warning arc to gain compliance. Mr. Ravelo put his arms behind his back, and I placed him in handcuffs, checking for fit and double-locking.
Mr. Ravelo continued to try to resist while being escorted to the patrol vehicle by letting his legs give out. I searched Mr. Ravelo and placed him in the back of Officer Tiradoís patrol vehicle. Mr. Ravelo was charged with obstruction and disorderly conduct, given a bond of $1000, and a court date of April 9, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. in Pooler Municipal Court. Officer Tirado took custody of Mr. Ravelo and transported him to Chatham County Detention Center.

[NARRATIVE #2 on January 24, 2026]
On January 24, 2026, at 2232 hours, while on uniformed patrol, in a marked unit in the city of Pooler, Georgia, I, Officer Garcia, was notified of a domestic disturbance in the parking lot of Planet Fitness at 200 Tanger Outlets Blvd.
Upon arrival, I spoke with the complainant, who was identified as [WITNESS #1]. Mr. [WITNESS #1] stated that while sitting in his vehicle, he observed a black make standing over a black female choking her. He stated that both individuals then continued walking towards the Extended Stay Hotel. He also stated that the black male had a dark colored jacket and a red backpack on.
While searching around the Extended Stay area, I observed a black male, who was identified as Jesus Ravelo, in a dark colored jacket, yelling in Spanish looking for a female in the parking lot.
After another officer attempted to stop Mr. Ravelo to speak with him in the Extended Stay, he did not stop and made his way to the elevator area. Mr. Ravelo was irate. After being told multiple times that he was detained and not free to leave, he attempted to get into the elevator and leave.
Mr. Ravelo was then told he was under arrest. I assisted in placing the handcuffs on him. Mr. Ravelo did not want to cooperate throughout the entire incident. After Mr. Ravelo was placed in the patrol car, he began kicking the door and continued to yell.
Myself and another officer went into the Extended Stay hotel to speak with the front desk clerk, who was identified as [WITNESS #2]. Ms. [WITNESS #2] stated that she heard Mr. Ravelo banging or hitting the elevator door before we arrived.
Ms. [WITNESS #2] provided us with the room number where we attempted to knock on the door to check if there was a female victim of domestic violence. I observed that the dead bolt to the door was engaged and the door was cracked open. I knocked on the door, with no reply. We swung the door open to check for a victim from the doorway, before returning downstairs.
After speaking to the other officers, we went upstairs to check the room for a possible victim, this time making entry to perform a protective sweep. The room was empty. While we looked for the victim, we observed a red backpack on the bed, as well as drug paraphernalia.
I followed the officer who was transporting Mr. Ravelo to the Chatham County Detention Center for assistance with the irate Mr. Ravelo.
Upon arrival, Mr. Ravelo continued kicking the patrol door and began banging his head against the clear panel that was separating him from the front of the other officer’s vehicle, causing some bleeding on his forehead area
Chatham County Sheriff’s Nurse stated that Mr. Ravelo needed to go to the hospital to be cleared before entering the jail.
Mr. Ravelo was placed again in the back of another officer’s patrol vehicle, and they began en route to Memorial Hospital.

[NARRATIVE #3 on January 24, 2026]
On January 24, 2026, at approximately 2300 hours, I was transporting a Jesus Ravelo from 500 Outlets Parkway to the Chatham County Detention Center for charges of obstruction and disorderly conduct. While en route to the Detention Center Mr. Ravelo was being extremely unruly by kicking the backseat of my patrol car and yelling and screaming. At one point I attempted to close the partition in my patrol car when Mr. Ravelo sprit through the cage and onto my hand.
Mr. Ravelo was banging his head against the partition multiple times to the point he cut his forehead. After being denied at the jail Mr. Ravelo was transported to Savannah Memorial Hospital where he was cleared by medical staff and was then transported back to the Chatham County Detention Center. Mr. Ravelo was cited and charged with O.C.G.A. 16-5-23E simple battery against police officer. Mr. Ravelo was given a mandatory court date of April 9, 2026, at the Pooler Municipal Courthouse.

[NARRATIVE #4 on January 24, 2026]

Chatham County Records confirmed the warrant was valid, and a hold would be placed on Mr. Ravelo.
Mr. Ravelo was already in handcuffs and under arrest for charges on CRN 260124075. Mr. Ravelo was transported to Chatham County Detention Center by Officer Tirado.
