[NARRATIVE #1 on February 06, 2026]

On 2-4-2026 I began an investigation into this collision (see crash report 260203048 for further information). At approximately 1405 hours I attempted to call Ms. [VICTIM #1] (complainant), but nobody answered and the voicemail box had not been set up.

I ran the registered owner of the offender vehicle through N.C.I.C. to attempt to gather more information. No driver license information could be found, but an active warrant was discovered for the owner of the vehicle. The warrant was through the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement for “ALIEN UNLAWFULLY PRESENT DUE TO ORDER OF REMOVAL OR EXCLUSION FROM THE USA”.

I contacted Officer Ryan Haggarty with Immigration and Customs Enforcement to attempt to gather more information about the owner of the vehicle, as I had not located a good phone number for the owner.

On 2-5-2026 at approximately 0900 hours, I located the hit and run vehicle (SC tag – [REDACTED]) at 101 St. Joesph’s Candler Drive, Pooler GA 31322 in the parking lot area. I checked inside of the building and was able to locate Mr. Roblero Berdugo (offender), who advised he drives the vehicle. My communication with Mr. Roblero Berdugo was through a translator application on my city issued phone, as he did not speak English.

Mr. Roblero Berdugo advised that on 2-3-2026 at Pooler Parkway near Pine Barren Road, he accidentally ran into the back of another vehicle. He advised that the other vehicle fled the scene, so he left the area after the collision without exchanging insurance information or reporting the collision. Mr. Roblero Berdugo was able to produce an insurance card with a policy number, which I was able to verify was an active policy at the time of the collision. Mr. Roblero Berdugo advised that he did not have a valid driver’s license.

I attempted to run Mr. Roblero Berdugo through N.C.I.C. via my Mobile Data Terminal by name and date of birth, but I was met with negative results. It should be noted that Mr. Roblero Berdugo gave two dates of birth ([REDACTED BY AGENCY]-1981 and [REDACTED BY AGENCY]-1981), and he has two last names, but no results were found for any of the information given. A picture of his Guatemalan identification card was given and the date of birth on that document stated “[REDACTED BY AGENCY]/1981”.

Mr. Roblero Berdugo advised that there was no damage on his vehicle, but I observed paint chipping from the front bumper area and the front bumper was not flush with the passenger side front fender, as if it had been in a collision.

I wrote warrants for Mr. Roblero Berdugo for following too closely, driving without a valid license, and hit and run. Those warrants were signed by the Honorable Judge Katie Brewington. The warrants were entered into NCIC by Pooler Police TAC Huseth.

[NARRATIVE #2 on February 06, 2026]

On 2-6-2026, I met with Mr. Roblero Berdugo at the Pooler Police Department at 1800 hours. Mr. Roblero Berdugo was served with his warrants and placed under arrest. He was handcuffed (double locked and checked for fit), searched, and seat belted into the back seat of my patrol vehicle.

Mr. Roblero Berdugo was given a court date of 3-19-2026 in the Municipal Court of Pooler and a bond amount of $1350. Mr. Roblero Berdugo was transported to the Chatham County Detention Center without incident. The back seat of my patrol vehicle was searched before and after transport with negative findings.

I contacted Savannah Chatham Records Dispatch to remove Mr. Roblero Berdugo from N.C.I.C. as wanted.
