On December 26, 2025, at approximately 1125 hours, I was dispatched to [100 BLOCK] Commons Way Apt [REDACTED] for reports of a suspicious person.

On arrival, I made contact with the leasing consultant [WITNESS #1] and maintenance manager [WITNESS #2]. Ms. [WITNESS #1] and Mr. [WITNESS #2] stated that a black female (later identified as Kanyah Williams) was walking through a closed apartment building and yelling and screaming profanities. Both advised that Ms. Williams had locked herself in a vacant apartment, so I made my way up to apartment number [REDACTED] and could hear a female voice yelling and screaming.

I knocked loudly and identified myself as a police officer, and asked Ms. Williams to open the door. Ms. Williams responded by yelling and cursing and telling me to leave her alone. A short time later, I went to the apartment balcony directly under where Ms. Williams was standing and made visual contact. Ms. Williams had a cell phone up to her ear and appeared to be speaking to someone. I again asked Ms. Williams repeatedly to open the door so we could speak with her, but she again refused.

I stated to Ms. Williams that the apartment and the property were private and she was not allowed to be there, but she again refused, stating, “I don’t give a f*ck”. A short time later, an employee of the apartments was able to open the apartment, and other officers made entry. Ms. Williams was found on the apartment balcony, still on the phone and disregarding commands given. I approached Ms. Williams with handcuffs and placed her under arrest. She was escorted to my vehicle while still yelling and screaming and placed in my back seat.

While transporting Ms. Williams to my vehicle, she stated to a maintenance employee, “I’ll kill you” (employee declined to press charges for terroristic threats). Ms. Williams’ handcuffs were double locked and checked for fit when placed under arrest at the apartment building. While seated in and seat belted in my seat belt, I asked Ms. Williams if she had taken any kind of medication, and she stated yes. When asked if she was diagnosed with anything, she stated, “anxiety. I asked Ms. Williams if she had consumed any alcohol she stated yes, she had earlier in the day.

Ms. Williams was transported to the Chatham County Detention Center and turned over to on-duty jail staff. Ms. Williams again began yelling and screaming profanities while being processed at the jail.

Ms. Williams was charged with O.C.G.A. 16-7-21 (Criminal Trespass), O.C.G.A. 16-11-39 (Disorderly Conduct), and O.C.G.A. 16-10- 24 A (Obstruction of law enforcement officers). Ms. Williams was given a bond of $1450.00 and a mandatory court date of April 9, 2026, at 1000 hours at the Pooler Municipal Courthouse. Ms. Williams was also served with a trespass notice from the HoM apartments.

Maintenance advised that Ms. Williams had caused damage to the mesh screen covering the apartment balcony. I observed burn marks on the screen and burn marks on a bedroom window as well. Management gave an estimate of $500.00 in damages.
