On 11/12/25 at 00:47 I, Ofc. Deitz and Ofc. Reyes-Rosa responded to a call at the Parkers gas station on E DeRenne Ave regarding a woman who has previously been banned, but returned and defecated on the floor of the store.

Once on scene I noticed a female digging through the trash cans by the gas pumps and putting items in her jacket pocket. I made contact with a female seeing as she fit the description given by dispatch of white, female, 60’s, wearing a plaid jacket.

The female advised that she was in fact inside of the store prior to arrival, and that her name was Karen Selman (actual name is Karen Cooper).

While waiting for Ofc. Reyes who was speaking with the employee, Karen began making outlandish comments about myself and other individuals. She then proceeded to walk away from the scene; stating that she “wasn’t sticking around for this.” I informed Karen that she could not leave yet and needed to stay put until the other officer comes back out to talk to me.

Karen began walking at a faster speed in attempts to get away. I stayed with her and radioed for Ofc. Reyes to come around the back where we now were.

Once Ofc. Reyes located us, he informed me that Karen has been previously banned from this property. I then placed Karen under arrest and escorted her back to my car. I searched Karen incident to arrest and transported her to CCDC where she was booked in for public indecency and criminal trespass.

A CRN card was issued to the employee and BWC was active.

An attempt will be made by day watch to gather the video footage of Karen’s indecent act once the Parkers manager is available in the morning.
