On 12/25/[2026] I was dispatched to 288 Pennsylvania Ave, Harry’s Liquor Store, in reference to a verbal dispute involving a weapon.

Upon arrival, I met with [VICTIM #1], who had liquid dripping from her hair. I observed an empty 40 oz beer can on the ground, and the surrounding area was wet. She stated an unknown black male came up to her, after a verbal disagreement, and emptied his beer can on her head. Afterwards, she said the suspect lifted up his grey hoodie exposing a “black firearm which appeared to have an elongated magazine,” and the suspect stated, as he lifted his hoodie up and pointed at the firearm, “this is for you”.

I entered the liquor store and was able to watch the video footage of the incident. In the recording, I was able to see a black male wearing a light grey hoodie with the black letters NASCAR across the front of the hoodie. The male approached the victim as she was leaning against the exterior store wall with her back. He approached her and got into her face and chest bumped her, squeezing her against the wall. Afterwards, he dumped his beer can on her head. The victim responded by also throwing beer at the suspect.

Another unit located the vehicle that the suspect, along with 2 other black males, left the scene in. The vehicle was parked at the intersection of Hawthorne St and Pennsylvania Ave. Once units arrived to the location, I observed a large group of males standing on the side porch at [2000 BLOCK] Hawthorne St.

I was able to see the black male in the grey hoodie with the word NASCAR across the front. I approached the suspect and identified him as Kenneth Gibson. I told him there was an incident at Harry’s liquor store, and he immediately started recounting the incident. He stated he threw beer on the victim, but did not have a firearm on him.

As I was taking the suspect into custody, another officer saw two males sitting on the hood of a nearby vehicle. As the two stood up from the hood, two firearms fell out from the engine area. This portion of the incident is covered under a offcier supplemental.

One of the firearms matched the description the victim gave of the firearm displayed by the suspect.

The store employees did not know how to save and send the security camera footage.

Mr. Gibson was arrested and transported to CCDC without incident.
