On 10/18/2025, at approximately 1950 hours I, Officer Reyes responded to the report of domestic trouble at [400 BLOCK] Cranman Dr as a backup officer.
The call notes advised a male was threatening a female with a firearm, upon my arrival it was said the suspect left in a gray 4 door GMC pickup truck. I began looking for the vehicle on FLOCK. I was unable to find anything and began walking back to the residence when a gray GMC pickup truck drove down Cranman Dr. Cpl Debyah was able to look into the drivers side and confirm that was the suspect.
I got into my patrol vehicle and followed the suspect vehicle in an attempt to conduct a traffic stop as it was discovered this was a domestic incident. The vehicle made a left off of Cranman Dr and a right onto Montgomery Cross Rd, as the vehicle made the right I heard the vehicles tires screeching. I followed the vehicle and attempted to catch up to the vehicle to initiate a traffic stop, I observed the vehicle make a right turn onto Hodgeson Memorial Dr, as I turned onto Hodgeson Memorial Dr, I caught up to the vehicle and activated my lights and sirens, the vehicle pulled into the parking lot of Spanky’s, parked and stopped.
I exited my patrol vehicle and drew my department issued firearm as the call notes advised the suspect had a firearm. I pointed my firearm at the vehicle and moved to the front passenger side behind the hood of a vehicle that was parked next to the suspects vehicle. The suspect was instructed out of the driver’s side and to the rear of the vehicle. I went around to the front of the suspect vehicle and instructed the suspect to put his hands behind his back, I holstered my department issued firearm and placed the suspect in handcuffs with his hands behind his back, ensuring to double lock the handcuffs, the suspect was searched for firearms and placed in the back of Ofc. Neffs vehicle.
While I was handcuffing the suspect, who was later identified as Kenneth Sikes, I could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his person. A HEAT unit was called to the scene. Cpl Crosby responded. Upon waiting for the HEAT unit Ofc Neff read miranda to Kenneth and began questioning him in regard to what occurred at [400 BLOCK] Cranman Dr.
Kenneth gave consent to search his vehicle. Inside of his vehicle, a holster was found on the driver’s side floorboard, a black Smith and Wesson firearm was found in the center console, the firearm appeared manipulated as there was a round stuck inside of the slide, along with blood on the front of the slide. Kenneth also had blood on his pants. A large amount of ammunition was found in the left rear passenger side of the vehicle ranging from 5.56 to shotgun shells.
Ofc Crosby conducted his DUI investigation, upon completion Kenneth was arrested for DUI less safe, the firearm’s serial number was ran through records and was taken to the property room for safekeeping.
This concludes my involvement in this incident.
