On 02/15/2026 I responded to 9 W Gateway Blvd (Avid Hotel) room number [REDACTED] for a report of a domestic situation. I was advised through dispatch that a female was on the line, whispering to the call taker and possibly hiding in the bathroom. I was also advised that the male on scene did not know that police had been called.

The female was reporting that there is an open aggravated assault case with the male from another state and he brought her to Georgia. The female caller had also informed dispatch that there was a Temporary Protective order in place. The reporting party did stay on the phone with the call taker until police arrived on scene.

I activated my BWC and made contact at the door. I could hear a male announce that the police were at the door and then stated, “sorry not tonight.” I informed through the door that I was with the Savannah Police Department, said his name and the reporting party’s first name. Shortly after a teenager answered the door.

I knocked on the bathroom door and the reporting party, Kristen Di ROBERTO, exited. I spoke to her in the hallway. Kristen informed that her and her husband, [WITNESS #1], had gone to dinner, taken her phone and keys and left but had eventually came back and picked her up. Kristen stated that [WITNESS #1] was upset because they were sitting at the bar at Hooters Restaurant down the road and she spoke with an old man.

Kristen stated [WITNESS #1] brought up an incident from October that [WITNESS #1] believed that Kristen had cheated on her and he thought she was going to sleep with the old man she was talking to at Hooters bar. Kristen advised that [WITNESS #1] had pushed her into the bathroom trash can.

Kristen also informed me that the family was in Savannah, GA for a volleyball tournament for the oldest daughter (16 year old, [WITNESS #2]). Kristen stated they had traveled to Georgia together in one vehicle from Tennessee. Kristen brought up to officers about a temporary protection order from Tennessee and she was asked if she came to Georgia willingly with [WITNESS #1] to which she advised she had.

I then spoke with [WITNESS #1] who stated that he believed that Kristen might have kicked the trash can but he wasn’t sure really what happened to it. [WITNESS #1] stated that he brought up about the incident in October and he said Kristen got mad. [WITNESS #1] advised that when they returned to the hotel room, the kids were sleeping, Kristen was still very mad and shut herself in the bathroom. I asked [WITNESS #1] if he was preventing her from coming out of the bathroom or keeping her from leaving and he stated that he was asking Kristen to come out of the bathroom.

I asked both parties if they would be able to separate for the evening and [WITNESS #1] advised they could get separate rooms. Kristen became very angry telling me that [WITNESS #1] had to go to jail tonight and screaming at me. Kristen was very loud in the hallway and another mother had exited her room to check on [WITNESS #2]. [WITNESS #2] became very upset from the yelling Kristen was saying. [WITNESS #1] could be heard saying, “don’t take her to jail.” and had also asked Kristen to just come to bed right before she started yelling down the hallway.

Kristen continued yelling down the elevator, through the lobby and outside. I tried again to get Kristen to stop yelling. Kristen was on the phone with a friend and handed me the phone to talk with the friend. I held on to the phone but told Kristen that I didn’t want to speak with the friend and that I needed to talk to her. Kristen told me no, “you don’t give a f*ck, I will kill him.” I informed Kristen to not say things like that and to please listen so we can try and find a way to help her. Kristen continued to yell. I then asked for my back up officer to come down stairs because I could not get Kristen to stop yelling.

I could see people on the second floor had opened their room curtains to look outside due to how loud the yelling was. I asked Kristen to stop and listen multiple times. Kristen then stated, “I don’t care. I don’t care I’ll just go sit in the jail.” I told Kristen to just take a deep breath. Cpl. Reyes-Rosa came downstairs and I attempted to talk to Kristen one more time. Kristen then stated either [WITNESS #1] is going to jail or she is. Kristen yelled at me, “I’m done getting abused by him. If he isn’t going to jail than take me. If I have to kick you or knock you upside the head, than that’s what I’ll do.” At the same time as Kristen was yelling this she slapped her hands together and stepped towards me.

At this point, Cpl. Reyes-Rosa and myself grabbed Kristen’s arms, placing them behind her back and placed her in department issued handcuffs that were checked for fit. I escorted Kristen towards my marked police vehicle to do a search incident to arrest. Kristen then hit her head on the side of my vehicle and I told her to not do that again. Kristen was searched incident to arrest and placed in the rear seat of my marked police vehicle.

Kristen was arrested for Disorderly Conduct- OCGA 16-11-39. I transported Kristen to Memorial Medical Center for medical clearance due to her hitting her own head on the side of my police vehicle. Kristen was cleared and booked into Chatham County Detention Center. Kristen was advised of her charges.
