On 12/29/2025, at approximately 1845 hours, I was dispatched to Abrazo at Rice Hope, [3100 BLOCK] Mulberry Boulevard Unit [REDACTED] Port Wentworth Chatham County, in reference to a domestic.

Upon arrival I noticed I left my body-worn camera at Port Wentworth Police Department, 323 Cantyre Street, charging. Cpl. Sair stood by with her body worn camera activated while I interviewed subjects on scene.

I contacted the complainant/victim, [VICTIM #1], who stated she was in an argument with her daughter, Maisha Conateh, and her fiancé, [REDACTED], about leaving the residence and about Maisha’s children. [VICTIM #1] stated Maisha and [REDACTED] went outside and entered a gray in color 2024 Ford Bronco (Georgia registration: [REDACTED], VIN: [REDACTED]). [VICTIM #1] said she approached the passenger side door of the Bronco and opened it and told [REDACTED] he was disrespectful. [VICTIM #1] then stated Maisha walked around the vehicle and pulled her hair, struck her face and nose, and she fell.

[VICTIM #1] then stated Maisha struck her in the face several times while she was on the ground. [VICTIM #1] also stated Maisha choked her. I asked [VICTIM #1] how Maisha choked her and she motion like she was being choked from behind with her neck between Maisha’s forearm and bicep. [VICTIM #1] advised she did not lose consciousness, but her airway was obstructed and she could not breathe. I asked [VICTIM #1] if [REDACTED] was involved in the altercation and [VICTIM #1] said yes.

[VICTIM #1] advised [REDACTED] grabbed her by the shirt and then placed his hand around her neck, pushing her against the hood of the Bronco. [VICTIM #1] stated [REDACTED] did not choke her though. [VICTIM #1] advised Maisha’s children, [JUVENILE #1] (7 years of age) and [JUVENILE #2] (3 years of age) were in the rear seat of the vehicle with the altercation occurred. I observed abrasions on the right side of [VICTIM #1]’s face and petechiae in [VICTIM #1]’s right eye. I also observed what appeared to be defensive wounds on [VICTIM #1]’s hands.

I contacted [VICTIM #2], sister to Maisha, who stated she was in a room upstairs at the residence when she heard loud noises coming from downstairs. [VICTIM #2] stated she walked downstairs and observed [VICTIM #1] bleeding from the nose and eye. [VICTIM #2] said she began to yell at [REDACTED]. [VICTIM #2] said [REDACTED] and Maisha yelled at her and [VICTIM #1] to leave. [VICTIM #2] said she began to walk out of the residence when Maisha struck her in the head. I did not observe any marks on [VICTIM #2]. [VICTIM #2] then stated Maisha threatened to kill her.

I contacted Maisha who stated [VICTIM #1] was upset she had a child with [REDACTED] and began to argue with them. Maisha advised her and [REDACTED] went outside and entered into the Ford Bronco to go pick up another car. Maisha said [VICTIM #1] approached the vehicle, opened the passenger side door and began to hit [REDACTED]. Maisha said she walked around the vehicle and grabbed [VICTIM #1] and pulled her away from [REDACTED]. Maisha said [VICTIM #1] then fell on the ground and began to roll and crawl on the ground before she stood up. Maisha denied hitting or choking [VICTIM #1] or [VICTIM #2]. Maisha also stated her two children were outside when the altercation occurred.

I contacted [REDACTED] who stated [VICTIM #1] walked up to the vehicle and opened his door and began to hit him. [REDACTED] said he did not defend himself or hit [VICTIM #1]. [REDACTED] advised Maisha then grabbed [VICTIM #1] and pulled her away. [REDACTED] said [VICTIM #1] then fell on the ground and began to roll around and crawl.

I entered the residence and observed blood on the wall going up the stairs. Photographs of blood on the wall, [VICTIM #1]’s injuries, and [VICTIM #1]’s eye were taken and uploaded to Axon Evidence library. [VICTIM #1] was issued a CRN pamphlet.

I did not observe any injuries to Maisha and [REDACTED]. Due to the totality of circumstances of the injuries to [VICTIM #1] and statements which were gathered, Maisha was determined to be the predominant aggressor and was placed in double locked handcuffs tightened to fit behind her back. A rear seat contraband check was completed on my patrol car before Maisha was placed inside and secured with a seatbelt.

I then transported Maisha to the Port Wentworth Police Department and retrieved my body worn camera before continuing to the CCDC. Maisha was turned over to CCDC personnel without incident. Maisha was issued a Subpoena (Subpoena number: Y34007) and was charged with Aggravated Assault strangulation, Battery (DVA), and two counts of Cruelty to Children in the third degree. A victim’s notification form was also completed. A rear seat contraband check was conducted after turning Maisha over to CCDC personnel and no items were located.
