On Sunday, December 7th 2025, At approximately 2100 hour’s, I responded to a Domestic Strangulation at [500 BLOCK] E. Waldberg St. #[REDACTED].

Prior to my arrival, the reporting party, Ms. [VICTIM #1] based on the call notes provided, told the call-taker that her son had choked her, she had walked away from her home, she refused to continue talking because she didn’t want her son to hear in-case he had followed her out of her home, and that she believed her son would kill her. She then stated she returned to the home and that she was panicking but then had relocated to E. Waldberg Ln and E. Broad St. which is the intersection that is directly behind her home.

Upon arrival, I staged until another unit was close, While staged I observed the female that was believed to be Ms. [VICTIM #1] pacing back and forth on E. Broad St. near the lane as described.

I made initial contact with Ms. [VICTIM #1] and she made the following statement, “my son just tried to jump on me”, She further said She had cooked a meal and had asked her son Pierre to clean up and put away the food. she then said that Pierre argued with her why he has to put the food up. She then said to him, if he wasn’t going to help out while he was there then why is he here, she then said Pierre said he was waiting for his grandparents to get back because they were out of town and he had been staying with them.

I then asked Ms. [VICTIM #1] if he was still believed to be up there and she stated she didn’t know, I asked her if Pierre had been staying there with her and she stated no, he had been staying with his grandparents but was with her due to them not being there. She further said that she told him if he didn’t like it he could get out. She then said she told him she would call the police, and that’s when Pierre came at her and grabbed her by the throat and applied pressure in a choking manner.

I asked Ms. [VICTIM #1] if she could rate the pain from 1-10, she said 6, When I asked if she could describe the pressure from 1-10, she said 6-7, I then asked if she urinated or defecated on herself or lost consciousness and she said no. She also mentioned that her son pushed her down in her room and knocked over her belongings while he was choking her. We then relocated to the apartment and made contact with Pierre. Ms. [VICTIM #1] did make me aware of an injury on her neck that she stated was caused by Pierre, Images were taken and uploaded to Evidence.com.

While speaking with Pierre he stated the following, He stated that he and his mom had gotten into an argument over putting away the food, He said he was taught if he didn’t eat it, that it wasn’t his responsibility to put it away, He also stated that she said he had put his hands on her and that was a lie, He further said when he was trying to give her his opinion, she didn’t want to pay him any attention. He then said she ran into a room and slammed the door in his face and then went to her room and did the same thing again.

Pierre lastly said that he attempted to open the door and it bumped her because he didn’t know she was directly on the other side of the door and that’s where he believed the statement of him hitting her came from. He said when he opened the door he thought she was further in the room. Nothing further was mentioned.

Base on the information provided and the injuries observed, I notified my supervisor Sgt. Bote and made him aware of the statements made and injury observed. He then made contact with Family Violence Detectives and Det. Purdee was notified. The scene was maintained until Det. Purdee arrived.

Det. Purdee conducted an independent investigation and established the Pierre was the predominant aggressor and determined that Pierre should be charged with O.C.G.A 16-5-21 Aggravated Assault Strangulation (DVA) for the strangulation against his mother, and O.C.G.A 16-5-23.1 Battery (DVA) for the visible bruising and broken skin observed on Ms. [VICTIM #1]’s neck.

Pierre was then arrested and initially checked for weapons and other contraband prior to being placed in the back of my patrol car. Pierre consented permission for me to utilize his phone to gain contact information.

Pierre was then transported to Memorial hospital to be cleared prior to going to CCDC, Pierre then received an XRAY of his ribs due to a statement made about a car accident that he had been in recently. Once cleared, he was then transported to CCDC without further incident and was booked into CCDC.
