On March 4, 2026, at approximately 0150 hours, I responded to a trespassing call at the Worm Hole Bar, located at 2307 Bull St.
Upon arrival, I spoke with Ms. [WITNESS #1], bartender, and Mr. Ricky Martin. Ms. [WITNESS #1] reported that Mr. Martin had knocked over the cash drawer and a card reader. When asked if the cash system was still functional, Ms. [WITNESS #1] stated she would need the manager to inspect it and assess the damage.
I instructed Mr. Martin to remain with Officer E. Fears. Mr. Martin appeared intoxicated, as he used my patrol vehicle for support and spoke with slurred speech.
I then spoke with Ms. [WITNESS #2], who was present during the incident. She requested to press charges and have Mr. Martin banned from the property. I noted signs that the manager may have also been intoxicated. I informed Ms. [WITNESS #2] that I required her name for documentation and to obtain camera footage. Upon inspecting the damaged property, I observed several dents in the cash drawer and a broken screen. The card reader was unresponsive despite being connected, but the printer remained operational.
I requested an estimate for the repairs. Ms. [WITNESS #1] and Ms. [WITNESS #2] estimated the total cost at approximately $3,000. Ms. [WITNESS #1] stated the ticket printer cost about $200, which was excluded since it remained functional.
I asked Ms. [WITNESS #1] to describe the incident. She stated that while tending bar, Mr. Martin requested more drinks. She refused because he had not paid his tab and had two full drinks outside. Mr. Martin continued to demand drinks and became irate, prompting her to ask him to leave. As he exited, he pushed property onto the floor, causing damage.
I thanked Ms. [WITNESS #1] for her time and returned to Mr. Martin and Officer Fears. Mr. Martin was placed in double-lock handcuffs by Officer Fears, searched incident to arrest, and transported to CCDC for booking.
