On 10/14/2025 at approximately 1250 hours, I was dispatched to 313 W York St for a report of a male having defecated on the sidewalk.

Once on scene, I met with the witness, Ms. [WITNESS #1]. Ms. [WITNESS #1] said that she had saw the suspect, later identified as Mr. Shaheem King, defecate on the sidewalk, and when she confronted him about it, he said “I sh*t everywhere” and usually in the parks. Ms. [WITNESS #1] described the suspect as a black male, approximately 5’10” and 200 pounds, wearing an orange shirt with cuts all over his arms. Ms. [WITNESS #1] also advised she believed he would be near the Walgreens or McDonald’s on W Broughton St, as she frequently sees him there when she buys her cigarettes at Walgreens.

I recognized this description as being similar to a suicidal ideation call at the Walgreens from 10/9/2025, where Mr. King was the subject (CRN 251009061). I canvassed the area, where I observed Mr. King standing outside the Walgreens (300 W Broughton St).

I approached Mr. King and asked “what happened on York St?” Mr. King appeared in a much more calm and rational state than he had on 10/9/25, and advised that he was talking to a pastor of a church and had to go to the bathroom, but would not be able to make it to one without defecating on himself. He said that he was wearing the only clothes that he owns, and did not even have underwear on, so he defecated on the sidewalk rather than in his pants. Mr. King also advised that he usually does it in the parks.

Mr. King was arrested for Public Indecency, and transported and booked into CCDC without incident.

Ofc Clovis took Mr. King’s property to be logged into the property room. Savannah Fire was request for biohazard clean up.
