On 12/13/25 I was dispatched to Johnston St and White Bluff Rd in reference to a Motor Vehicle Crash. I activated my BWC.
I arrived on scene to assist officers already present. Upon arrival, one individual was detained in a marked patrol unit and was later identified as Shaquaysia Jackson. Also on scene was [WITNESS #1], sister of [VICTIM #1], one of the victim involved in the vehicle crash.
I spoke with Ms. [WITNESS #1], who stated that her brother, Mr. [VICTIM #1], and Ms. Jackson are in a romantic relationship. Ms. [WITNESS #1] advised that Ms. Jackson observed Mr. [VICTIM #1] driving and believed he was with another female. Ms. Jackson then began following him. Ms. [WITNESS #1] stated that Mr. [VICTIM #1] and Ms. Jackson were in the process of ending their relationship, and that Mr. [VICTIM #1] had contacted her to report that Ms. Jackson was chasing him in her vehicle. Ms. [WITNESS #1] further stated that Ms. Jackson followed Mr. [VICTIM #1] onto the roadway listed above and intentionally struck his vehicle, causing it to flip over.
Mr. [VICTIM #1] was driving with [VICTIM #2], who was not on scene at the time of my arrival but returned later. Upon her return, Ms. [VICTIM #2] stated she had left the scene out of fear that Ms. Jackson would assault her, citing prior issues between herself and Ms. Jackson that had previously resulted in a police report being filed.
Ms. [VICTIM #2] stated that she and Mr. [VICTIM #1] were leaving the mall when they were observed and followed by Ms. Jackson. They drove to a parking lot on the roadway listed above, and she told [VICTIM #1] that it might not be a good idea. Ms. Jackson then pulled her vehicle alongside theirs. As Mr. [VICTIM #1] attempted to reverse out of the parking space, Ms. Jackson drove her vehicle into theirs, causing the vehicle to flip over. Ms. [VICTIM #2] stated that after exiting the vehicle, Ms. Jackson was immediately present at the scene, prompting Ms. [VICTIM #2] to leave with friends who were also on scene.
The Family Violence Unit and Forensic Unit were notified and responded to the scene.
