On [04/18/2025] at approximately 18:00 Hours, while in a marked patrol vehicle, I responded to [600 BLOCK] W 31st St in reference to a woman banging on a residents door.

I arrived on scene and observed a black female, later identified as Shaquita Mitchell, in a stoners pizza T-shirt on the stoop of [600 BLOCK] W 31st st in a males face. She was yelling at this her child’s father’s brother. At this point I immediately could hear the slurred and delayed speech in addition to the strong odor of alcohol eminating from her person. Mitchell was extremely upset about her child’s father had failed to pay over $15k in child support. She advised she did not live at the location and came to talk regarding child support. I informed her the resident did not want her at the location and she needed to leave. She continued yelling “H*e A*s” and “Bi*ch a*s ni*ga” in front of two young children. I continued to tell her to leave and informed her if she did not stop yelling and did not leave she would be going to jail.

I walked towards her and she said she was leaving. I returned to the address and spoke with the caller [VICTIM #1] who advised she came and would not leave. While this was happening she continued yelling from the street and then got into the driver seat of her Honda Pilot with the vehicle running. While in control of the vehicle and stating she was going home, She was then asked to get out of the vehicle and questioned regarding her level of intoxication.

Mitchell advsied she had been drinking and had drank a lot. She refused Standard Field Sobriety Testing and was unable to answer any other questions since she was continuously talking and complaining. Mitchell’s sister, who walked up advsied she was with her and they had just come from her work. She advised Due to her level of intoxication: stumbling, slurred speech, glossy and bloodshot eyes, and the strong odor of alcohol, I placed Mitchell in fit checked and double locked handcuffs for DUI Less safe. GA Implied consent for over 21 was read for blood and agreed.

Mitchell was searched and transported to Central Precinct to conduct the blood draw. Our certified traffic unit conducted the blood draw and she was transported to CCDC without incident.

The blood draw kit was logged into the SPD Property room.

Mitchell was charged with DUI Less Safe OCGA 40-6-391(a)(1), Disorderly Conduct OCGA 16-11-39, and Public Drunkenness OCGA 16-11-41.
