On Tuesday, December 30, 2025, I responded to the report of a fight at GRACE HOUSE.
Upon arrival, I met with the reporting party/witness, who was identified as [WITNESS #1].
He stated two of the residents, who were identified as TIMOTHY MACK and [VICTIM #1], were involved in an altercation. After hearing a disturbance, he went to the bedroom they were in. He saw Mack repeatedly hitting [VICTIM #1], including hitting him on the head with a step for the bed. During the altercation, [VICTIM #1] never hit Mack in return.
When I spoke with [VICTIM #1], he was holding a white, blood-stained towel against his head. [VICTIM #1] had an open laceration above his eye. He stated he confronted Mack over the noise he was making, which was waking others up. In response, Mack spat on [VICTIM #1]. After which, [VICTIM #1] spat on Mack, and the altercation followed.
Mack, who was uninjured, only stated he was spit on. He did not want to say anything more regarding the incident.
While interacting with Mack, he was becoming increasingly agitated. He began yelling and tried getting in Officer Owens’ face. At that point, I pushed Mack back, which intensified his behavior. To prevent further escalation, I made the determination to place Mack in handcuffs. I grabbed his arms and pushed them behind him. Mack instantly flexed his arms, pushing them outwards, preventing them from going into a handcuffing position.
Holding Mack’s arms, I braced him against a nearby wall to limit his movement. I continued to hold him until the handcuffs were secured. Thereafter, he was brought to my patrol vehicle, where he was searched incident to arrest, then placed inside.
An active arrest warrant for Mack was discovered and confirmed valid.
Mack’s property was left at Grace House for his brother, [REDACTED], to retrieve.
Mack was transported to Memorial Medical Center for medical clearance. Once obtained, he was transported and booked into the Chatham County Detention Center without incident.
EMS responded and transported [VICTIM #1] for medical treatment.
During Mack’s detainment, my BWC was deactivated. It was reactivated once this was discovered.
A supervisor responded to the incident.
