The victim, [VICTIM #1], came to the Savannah Police Department’s Central Precinct to speak with an officer regarding a domestic situation that occurred between her and her husband, Tyrone Wilson.
She said that the disagreement between them started when he wanted her to have sexual intercourse with him, and she refused. The victim informed me that she recently gave birth to their daughter three (3) months ago and has not entirely healed.
Despite her medical situation, for the last few weeks, Tyrone demands she has sex with him, including an*l sex, and when she refuses, he gets upset and tells her that she is his wife, his property, and that he can do what he wants with her. She said that her husband had assaulted her in the past.
Last night, at around 10:00 pm, Tyrone wanted to have sex, and when she would not accommodate his request, he got upset. She said he punched and slapped her; she also accused him of placing his hands around her throat. The event culminated with him forcing her outside while she was naked.
After a few minutes, he let her back into the home. She said this went on from 10:00 pm (06/22) until 3:00 am (06/23). She went on to say that her husband is a U.S. member assigned to Fort Stewart, GA. After he left for work, she took her daughter and came to the precinct to report the incident.
I examined her for injuries, but I did not see any markings on the neck area. However, I did see a fresh bruise on her upper right arm, which was a result of Tyrone punching her, and a small scratch on her forehead over her left eye. I photographed the injuries and uploaded the pictures to evidence.com.
I contacted the Savannah Safe Shelter and requested the placement of the victim and her daughter, [REDACTED]. Intake personnel granted the request after interviewing the victim. I transported them to the safe shelter.
The victim stated that she and her husband had been together for one year and had been married since November 2024. The victim informed me that she has two other children from a previous relationship, but they are with their father in Tennessee.
I provided the caller with a copy of the case report number and instructed her on how to obtain a copy of the report.
