On November 1st, 2025, at approximately 2142 hours, I responded to a burglary in progress call at [3300 BLOCK] Iantha St, while enroute I saw a call note that showed caller stated, “Robot of his Grandmother,” I then informed other responding officer’s that the call was actually a mental health call.

Once on scene I made contact with the caller, Mr. Zachary Hudson. Immediately I could see that he was having a mental breakdown, and then got him to sit in a chair outside to try and calm his self down. While sitting in the chair, Mr. Hudson continued to yelled and make threats to, “Lady Gaga.” He was also making spontaneous noises and yelling randomly very frequently.

Sgt. Foraker arrived on scene also and began to speak with Mr. Hudson’s grandmother. I was later informed that the grandmother and Mr. Hudson’s mother recently obtained an Order to Apprehend (10-13) for Mr. Hudson. We stood by with Mr. Hudson until his mother arrived on scene with the paperwork. Once on scene we were able to verify information. At this point we were going to place Mr. Hudson under arrest for False Statements and Abuse of 911, once under arrest he was going to be released to Gateway for mental health treatment.

Once we informed Mr. Hudson he was being arrested, he immediately began to tense up and yell. We tried to help him calm down but he kept saying do not touch me. We offered him multiple times to let him walk himself to a marked patrol vehicle so he could be transported, but each time he refused. We then told him that he was going and began to approach when he suddenly stood up out of the chair he was sitting in, and attempted to flee on foot.

Once he stood up, I attempted to gain control of him by grabbing him to restrain him on the ground, but while doing so Mr. Hudson immediately bit down on my right forearm in a violent manner. I then attempted to separate myself from him, but due to how hard he was biting down on my arm I was unable to separate myself. I then in order to separate myself from him biting me, hit him with a closed left fist on the right side of his mouth. Once I made contact with his mouth he immediately stopped biting my forearm and fell to the ground with the other officer’s who were attempting to gain control of him.

After he was on the ground Cpl. Lambert, Cpl. Geisler, and Sgt. Foraker were able to gain control and handcuff Mr. Hudson.

I was then instructed to go apply first aid to the area I was bit in, which was bleeding. After Cpl. Crosby assisted me with apply first aid to my injury, I returned to assist with moving Mr. Hudson from the ground to the rear of my marked patrol vehicle.

After Mr. Hudson was placed in my marked patrol vehicle, he was then transported to MMC for medical clearance to CCDC. Also, once at MMC both Cpl. Lambert and Cpl. Geisler took custody of my arrestee while I obtained medical treatment. Also Cpl. Lambert transported Mr. Hudson to CCDC where he was booked.
