On 02/07/2026 at approximately 1533 hours, I Ofc. McGaha (PR#65465) while in Uniformed Patrol for the Savannah Police Department, was dispatched to [1300 BLOCK] Bradley Blvd #[REDACTED] (Bradley Point Apartments) regarding a shooting.
Call notes are as follows:
-COMPL ADV PEOPLE ARE SHOOTING
-COMPL IS ABSOLUTELY SCREAMING AND WILL NOT ANSWER QUESTIONS
-2ND COMP IS ADV SHE HEARD APPROX 10-12 SHOTS CLOSE TO BLDG 5

Arrival/Interview with [VICTIM #1] (Victim):
Prior to my arrival, I had asked dispatch to provide me with a suspect description and was told a black male, unknown clothing description. When I arrived at the property there were multiple black males and females walking down the sidewalks and road, therefore could not identify a potential suspect at that time.
Upon my arrival, I spoke with Ms. [VICTIM #1], who advised that she was laying down on the couch watching tv, when she thought she heard multiple firecrackers going off. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised that while she was laying down, she saw dust flying through the air, got off the couch, and observed a bullet hole had gone through her wall (under the window).
I asked if anyone was injured or hurt, she said no.
It should be noted that upon further examination, the bullet had gone through the wall, into a box that was between the wall and couch and continued into the couch where a bullet hole is visible.
I asked Ms. [VICTIM #1] if she had seen who had shot, she said no but it had to be one of the juveniles that were outside. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised that she had video of the incident and allowed me to see the footage.
I observed the footage through Ms. [VICTIM #1] security cameras, and it captured the moments before the shots were fired (which were children playing outside riding bikes and playing basketball) and the moment after the shots were fired and all the children in the street were running away and their neighbor came outside yelling for someone named Shawn.
Interview with Victims/Person with Knowledge at Apt #[REDACTED] ([VICTIM #2], [WITNESS #1], and [WITNESS #2]):
After speaking with Ms. [VICTIM #1], Ms. [VICTIM #2] had come out of her apartment (#[REDACTED]) and advised that her apartment was also struck by a bullet that went through her window. I observed her apartment from the outside and saw that her window was broken at the bottom left corner.
I spoke with Ms. [VICTIM #2] who advised that she was in her room when the shooting started and had gotten down to the ground and told her daughter [VICTIM #3] who was also in the apartment to get on the ground. She advised she heard multiple shots being fired. I observed the damage from the inside and did not see any additional bullet holes at this time.
I asked her if anyone was injured, she said no.
I then spoke with Mr. [WITNESS #1] (Ms. [VICTIM #2]’s son) who advised that he had seen a black male come from around the corner of the [REDACTED] building and started shooting and that two other black males shot back. I asked Mr. [WITNESS #1] if he knew who they were or what they were wearing, he advised he did not know who they were because they just moved into the neighborhood and he did not see what they were wearing. Mr. [WITNESS #1] advised that once the shooting started he and Mr. [WITNESS #2] ran into the apartment.
I then spoke with Mr. [WITNESS #2] who advised that he did not see anyone but only heard the shooting and ran into the apartment.
It should be noted that when speaking with Mr. [WITNESS #2] and attempting to ask him questions, he would deflect to answer the questions by asking why does he have to answer my questions and became upset when he stated that he did not see anything.
It should also be noted that Ms. [VICTIM #2] does not have any security cameras.
Apt #[REDACTED] (Ring Camera):
I attempted to speak with the residents of apartment #[REDACTED] to see if their Ring Camera captured any footage, and there was no answer.
Shell Casings Discovered:
In front of apartments #[REDACTED] and #[REDACTED] approximately eleven 9mm shell casings were found and later collected.
Near the dumpsters close to building [REDACTED], approximately seven 9mm shell casings were found and one bullet fragment were found and later collected.
Interview with Possible Suspects (Keyshawn Poinsett and Jerome Green):
Just as I was about to begin collecting shell casings, another call came in and gave out suspect descriptions. The call notes are as follows:
-COMPL ADVISED 2 SUBJ INVOLVED IN SHOOTING ARE HIDING ON THE SIDE OF THE [REDACTED] BUILDING….BETWEEN THE BUSHES AND THE BUILDING
-ONE SUBJ BM WEARING A CAMO JACKET….ONE SUBJ BM WEARING A RED JACKET
-COMPL FEMALE CALLER [REDACTED BY AGENCY]
Once the description of the suspects involved came out, I observed two black males matching the description coming out of apartment #[REDACTED]. Other Officers onscene and I stopped the suspects and detained them. I patted down the black male in the red jacket (Jerome Green) while another Officer patted down the black male in the camo jacket (Keyshawn Poinsett) for any weapons. Both suspects did not have any weapons on them at this time.
I asked both suspects if they had seen or heard anything, to which both said no and wanted to know why they were being stopped. It was explained to them that a shooting had taken place and someone called in giving us their description.
I asked them again if they had seen or heard anything, Mr. Poinsett advised they did not see or hear anything and that they were playing basketball and went inside the apartment before police arrived.
It should be noted that there is a basketball hoop set up in front of the [REDACTED] building where the shooting took place.
While waiting for Records to get the suspects information, I was pulled off to the side to speak with my supervisor and was advised to start collecting shell casings due to forensics and detectives not coming out to the scene, so I began collecting shell casings while the suspects were detained.
After collecting the shell casings, the suspects were let go and both got into a gray 2023 Honda Civic (license plate [REDACTED] (GA Tag)) and drove off. I ran the plate through GCIC/NCIC and it came back with a registered owner of [REDACTED] who resides are [1300 BLOCK] Bradley Blvd apartment #[REDACTED].
It should also be noted that there is a camera located on a garage next to the [REDACTED] building where the other set of shell casings were discovered that belongs to the Apartment Complex.
Conclusion:
All shell casings and fragment discovered were logged into the Property Room.
Supervisors notified.
