On 10/10/2025, at 12:25 PM, I was dispatched to [20 BLOCK] North Jones Street in reference to someone discharging a firearm in a residential area.
Upon my arrival, I met with Allen Treadway and Brandon Hullett, who were standing in front of the residence on [20 BLOCK] Jones Street. I did observe a brown and black semi-automatic shotgun that was propped in a chair near the front door of the residence. I asked them who was shooting a gun? Allen Treadaway stated Yeah, back there. I asked both men, Who was shooting the gun? Alan Treadaway began telling me a story that he got the gun when he was twelve years old, and that he and Brandon Hullett were shooting it into the air.
I asked who was shooting the gun because I knew Brandon Hullett was a convicted felon. Alan Treadaway pointed to Brandon and stated, He tried to shoot it, and it was unloaded. Brandon stated No, I did not. He is just drunk as sh*t. I asked both men what they were arguing over, and Alan Treadaway stated, Because I will not give him what he wanted. Alan Treadaway then stated to Brandon. I asked you to leave my house twice. Allen Treadway then stated that Brandon had nowhere to go. So he let him sleep on the front porch.
I then asked Brandon what was going on, and Brandon stated nothing, that he was just getting a little sassy, referring to Allen Treadaway. Brandon indicated that Allen was accusing him of trying to steal from him. Brandon then stated that he just met Allen last night, and he looked like he needed someone to talk to. Allen Treadaway stated that he knew Brandon was a prison guy, and he was just trying to be good to him.
Alan Treadaway stated, he (Brandon) did shoot the gun once, but I wasn’t going to tell on him, but I will now. I ask Alan how many times Brandon shot the gun. Allen stated, he (Brandon) did not know how to pull it in all the way. I do believe Allan was referring to the semi-automatic lever on the shotgun, which did indicate to me that Brandon was in possession of the shotgun prior to my arrival.
I then asked Alan directly, Did Brandon shoot that gun right there? while I was pointing to the gun propped up in the chair on the front porch. Alan stated Yes, he (Brandon) did. I asked Brandon, Did you shoot that Gun up in the air too? Brandon stated f*ck no, hell no, I can’t touch no firearm.
Allan Treadaway screamed, your a liar, you shot that gun. I ask Brandon, Why would Allan lie about it? Alan then stated You are a liar, to Brandon, You shot that gun first, and then I shot it. Allan stated to me, I give you my word, Pritchard. He shot that gun first. Alan Treadaway then began to tell a story about how Brandon had just driven him to Easy Pawn, and they purchased the ammunition for the gun.
Detective Cox notified me that he had a gunshot residue test kit. I told Brandon I was going to find out if he had shot that gun or not, Brandon stated. Yeah, I did grab it from him (referring to Allan) because he was standing right there beside him, trying to shove three bird shot rounds into the gun.
Brandon stated that he may have gunshot residue on him because he was standing next to Allen when he had shot the gun. Brandon then stated, That’s why they started yelling, because the shell ejected out of the shotgun and hit him in the side of the chin. Brandon tried to change his story that he had grabbed the gun from Allen. I then went back and talked to Allen and asked him if Brandon had shot the gun or not, and Alan Treadaway stated. Yes, one time straight up into the air.
Brandon then stated to me, Can I be honest with you, man? I’m just gonna be honest with you. I shot the gun one time, just because it was some bird shot, and we weren’t arguing. He then turned to Detective Cox and stated, “Straight up, I did, I fired the gun.”
Detective Cox, who was on the scene, went to the area where the gun was fired and located two spent shotgun shell cartridges along with 2 cigarette butts on the ground, which were the same brand Allan and Brandon had in their possession.
Brandon was placed under arrest at this time for convicted felon in possession of a firearm. While searching Brandon’s backpack, I located a hypodermic syringe inside the backpack. I will note that Brandon is not a diabetic. I then secured the firearm inside the residence and placed Allan Treadaway under arrest. Detective Cox did take measurements from where the shells were located, and it was approx: 27 feet from the Henley street roadway.
The firearm was a Remington model 1100 20guage semi-auto shotgun bearing serial number M458480X. the rounds shot were Fiocchi 20 Ga. game and target shot 7/8 oz.
