On 11/06/2025, I, Cpl. Wilks, was dispatched by Chattooga E-911 to place a call to a [WITNESS #1] Subject from Alabama about possible child abuse. I spoke who [WITNESS #1] over the phone who said he was told about a video where his brother-in-law was holding his child while his wife was following him around the house with a knife in his back, and this was all recorded. [WITNESS #1] gave me a address to check up on the child as [800 BLOCK] Sloppy Floyd Lake Rd Summerville, GA . He also identified the victim as [VICTIM #1] and the aggressor as Alyssa Phillips and said they have a young child together.

Cpl. Villagomez and myself went to [800 BLOCK] Sloppy Floyd Lake Rd and arrived on scene at or around 1639 hours. As we started to approach [800 BLOCK] a man come from a residence close by and informed us that in there was some kind of domestic earlier and a small child was brought to him then picked back up a couple hours later. Cpl. Villagomez and myself made our way to the top of the stairs and knocked on the front door. Both Alyssa and [VICTIM #1] came to the door and I asked [VICTIM #1] to meet with me separately while Cpl. Villagomez Spoke with Alyssa.

[VICTIM #1] stated that they have been having marriage problems recently and today they got into an argument about their child where it escalated and there was a weapon involved. [VICTIM #1] produced a video where it showed him actively walking away from his wife while saying “get the knife out of my back.” In the video [VICTIM #1] it shows [VICTIM #1] turning around where it shows Alyssa holding the knife in an aggressive manner then eventually dropping it after she realized she’s being recorded. [VICTIM #1] said after this altercation he did take the child down to his uncle’s house and came back up and tried to work things out with his wife. While speaking with [VICTIM #1] he appeared to be upset and visibly shaking the whole time while speaking with him.

I relocated and spoke with Alyssa who stated that yes there was an argument where she didn’t approve of where [VICTIM #1] wanted to take their son so she said she grabbed a knife cause she did not want him leaving with the child.

Alyssa was placed under arrest and transported to Chattooga County Detention without incident.
