On 05/25/2025 I Deputy Ellenburg was dispatched to [90 BLOCK] Cherry St in referenced to a physical domestic.
Myself and Cpl. Wilks arrived on scene and were met by the aggressor, Angie Atkins, to whom immediately stated that she pepper sprayed her son, [VICTIM #1], in the eyes rendering them useless. [VICTIM #1] came outside asking “how do I get this out of my eyes it burns”. I visibly observed his eyes being red and swollen, and he was unable to open them. I asked Angie what caused this to happen to which she stated that [VICTIM #1] wouldn’t stop running his mouth. Cpl. Wilks interviewed the neighbors across the street and they stated they heard an argument and that they heard [VICTIM #1] say “i’m sorry i’ll never hit you again” and a response from Angie stating “good because it will be a lot worse next time”. Angie stated to me that she was the primary aggressor and [VICTIM #1] never hit her.
Angie was arrested and transported to the Chattooga County Jail without incident.
