On this date of 03/17/2024 at approximately 0110 hours, I was dispatched to the address of [500 BLOCK] Hilltop Drive in reference to a verbal domestic where the complainant was requesting an officer. I responded and began speaking with the complainant who was later identified as [VICTIM #1] who stated that she and her boyfriend had gotten into an argument when he woke her up while she was sleeping on the couch and stated to her “And that’s why your momma is dead” as well as making a mess in the living room causing [VICTIM #1] to get very upset.
[VICTIM #1] then states that when she went after him to question him on what he meant by that he locked himself in a room and never allowed her in. It was then asked at this point what [VICTIM #1] would like down about the situation to which she replied that she wanted to press charges on him. Upon this request law enforcement made several attempts to get the boyfriend to come to the door to speak with him about his side of the story. After several attempts of knocking at both the outside entranceway and inside entranceway to the room where the boyfriend was located, it was acknowledged that there was a key that was found and used to allow law enforcement entry by access through the outside entranceway.
Once inside the bedroom, the male was located in the bed and appeared to have been sleeping. It was at this time that the male was identified as BRANDYN HOLT who appeared to be intoxicated but coherent enough to be asked what occurred prior to law enforcement’s arrival. HOLT went on to state that he and [VICTIM #1] had gotten into a verbal argument after they had been drinking. After that, HOLT proceeded to go to the bedroom and go to bed to get away from the argument as well as locked both of the doors so that he could be unbothered. HOLT was then asked if what [VICTIM #1] had stated was true about the mess in the living room along with the statement that was supposedly made. At first, HOLT denied having done anything except argue with [VICTIM #1] but then finally admitted to being disorderly and making the statement toward [VICTIM #1]. HOLT was then placed under arrest for DISORDERLY CONDUCT and placed in the county jail without further incident.
It is to be noted that a juvenile witness stated to law enforcement that both [VICTIM #1] and HOLT had been drinking excessively and had gotten into a huge verbal argument as well as confirmed everything that had been admitted by HOLT prior.
