On July 8, 2026, at approximately 1829 hours, I, Deputy Matt Wilson, was dispatched to [40 BLOCK] Maplewood Drive, Apartment [REDACTED], in reference to a physical domestic dispute. I was advised that a white male was walking away from the scene on Lake Wanda Rieta Road toward Reece’s Tires.

I observed a white male walking in the area and exited my patrol vehicle to speak with him. I observed that the male had a fresh scratch mark on his neck. I also observed that his knuckles were red and had what appeared to be blood on them.

I asked the male if he had been involved in a domestic dispute. He stated he had not and advised that he was walking to the end of the roadway to get into a taxi. I advised him of the marks I had observed. He then stated that he had gotten into an altercation with his father but claimed that nothing had happened and that he had been running on some stairs.

The male was identified as Jeremy Young. While speaking with Young, I detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath. I observed his eyes to be bloodshot and droopy. I also noticed that his speech was slurred and thick, and his face appeared flushed. Based on my observations, it appeared that Young was impaired by alcoholic beverages. When I attempted to speak with Young, he would mumble and at times would not make much sense.

I asked Young if he had anything illegal on his person. Young removed an opened, partially full bottle labeled “Mr. Boston Vodka 40% Alcohol” from his back pocket. The bottle contained liquid and Young handed it to me. Young admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages. I checked Young for additional items, and he did not have anything else on his person.

Deputies Justin Claxton and Adam Dawson went to speak with the other party involved in the altercation. At this time, I detained Young and shortly thereafter advised him that he was under arrest for pedestrian under the influence and open container.

I was then advised by the other deputies to respond to [40 BLOCK] Maplewood Drive, Apartment [REDACTED]. Deputy Ben Mollohan, who had just arrived on scene, accompanied me to the residence. Upon arrival, I spoke with [VICTIM #1].

I observed [VICTIM #1] to have blood around his nose and mouth area. [VICTIM #1] advised that Young had struck him in the face. I asked [VICTIM #1] why Young had struck him. [VICTIM #1] stated that Young had come to the residence intoxicated, and he confronted Young about his behavior. [VICTIM #1] stated that he told Young he was not going to come to the residence while intoxicated and that he needed to leave. [VICTIM #1] stated that Young refused to leave and told him to make him leave.

[VICTIM #1] stated that he reached for the telephone to call someone, at which time Young struck him several times.

I observed multiple holes in the wall of the residence. [VICTIM #1] stated that Young had caused the damage by striking the wall with his fist. [VICTIM #1] rents the residence from the owners of Lake Wanda Reita Apartments, making the property owners the victims of the property damage. Deputy Mollohan took photographs of [VICTIM #1] and the damage to the wall.

[VICTIM #1] refused to provide a written witness statement.

Based on the third-party report of the physical altercation, the statements obtained, and the observed evidence at the scene, Young was additionally charged with disorderly conduct and criminal trespass. Young’s actions caused a disturbance that affected the peace and tranquility of the neighborhood and resulted in a third party becoming concerned enough to contact law enforcement.

I transported Young to the Chattooga County Jail without further incident.
