On the date of 08/15/2025 at or around 23:49 hours, I, Deputy Reynolds was dispatched to [90 BLOCK] Rose Circle, Trion, Georgia 30753 to a male subject refusing to leave the residence. I requested dispatch to have a Trion unit assist with the call due to an extended arrival time. I arrived on scene at 00:20 hours activated my BWC and spoke with Trion Police Officer Starkey. He stated that the victim [VICTIM #1]’s brother had come to the residence and an altercation occurred between the two, [VICTIM #1]’s brother Justin Yarbrough had left the scene prior to his arrival, Officer Starkey also had the residents of [90 BLOCK] Rose Circle filling out witness statements on the incident.

I spoke with [VICTIM #1] who stated that “I was working out at the gym with Spot and [REDACTED], I left the gym and while [WITNESS #1] and I were on the way home, mom [WITNESS #2] told me my brother Justin was there. I texted him and told him I wasn’t trying to be an d*ck or anything but I wanted him to let me know if he was going to come by my house before he just came over. We got into an argument and I told him to leave. Justin left, called me and asked if I was mad, I hung up on him and he came back not long after and was beating on my door.

As I was opening the door he pushed it all the way open and came inside. Justin was irate and when we were back near the bedrooms Justin grabbed me by the throat, pushed me against a wall, then punched a hole in my moms bedroom door. He started to go after [WITNESS #1] and yell at her and I stepped in his way telling him to leave. When I got him back outside he was still mad and yelling calling me all kind of names and then he punched me in the face before leaving again.” I could visibly see a small swollen area on the left side of [VICTIM #1]’s face near the right eye. [VICTIM #1] also showed me the damaged bedroom door and hallway walls where a mirror had scuffed the walls and paint.

I then spoke with [WITNESS #2] the mother of [VICTIM #1] and Justin. She stated “Her son Justin texted her asking if she was home because he did not see any cars in the driveway. She told him yes and allowed him in to visit her. She told [VICTIM #1] he was there and Justin and [VICTIM #1] was texting on the phone. When [VICTIM #1] got home there was an argument over Justin needing to let [VICTIM #1] know when he was coming over. Justin left the house and soon called her and was mad because he didn’t feel as if he needed to notify someone if he wanted to visit his mother. Justin then told me he was at the Water Treatment Plant, he was turning around to come back, and he hung up.

Next thing I heard was a beating at the door. I heard the two arguing and when they where right here I saw Justin grab [VICTIM #1] by the throat, push him against the wall, and punch my door. Justin was mad at [WITNESS #1] because he felt as if she was making up the rules and he started yelling at her trying to go into the room with her and [VICTIM #1] got stepped in-front of him. The whole time they were arguing and Justin grabbed him I tried to get in between and stop them because all [VICTIM #1] would say was his job was too important that Justin wasn’t worth it, he went toward the front door and I heard Justin keep yelling.

I spoke with [WITNESS #1] she stated ” Justin was mad because [VICTIM #1] wanted him to at least let them know when he was coming over to the house and it became an argument. Justin left and came back angrier than before. He grabbed [VICTIM #1] by the throat, pushed him, put a hole in the door, [VICTIM #1] got in his way when he started to come after me, if [VICTIM #1] wouldn’t have got in the way he would hurt me he was so mad and when [VICTIM #1] was able to get Justin back outside they argued outside and Justin go louder and louder until he hit [VICTIM #1] in the face.”

After speaking with all persons in the residence I spoke with two neighbors in the residence next to where the incident took place and they heard the two males arguing but did not see anything.

I placed a B.O.L.O out on Justin’s vehicle and had dispatch notify Walker County S.O that he may be headed to a location within the City of Lafayette. Justin was located and taken into custody without incident and brought to the county line where SO04 Cpl Fielding was able to transport him to the Chattooga County Jail without incident.
