On 08-20-2024, I was dispatched to the Golden Package Store in reference to a fight in the parking lot.
Upon arrival, I spoke with all parties and reviewed CCTV footage and it was determined that a vehicle pulled into the parking lot with Mr. Crumpton in the passenger seat. Ms. Hayes pulled in behind him blocking his way of leaving with her vehicle. Ms. Hayes then approaches Mr. Crumpton and begins a verbal domestic. The argument continues and Ms. Hayes pushes Mr. Crumpton. Mr. Crumpton then attempted to get into the passenger seat of the vehicle he arrived in but was blocked by Ms. Hayes. Ms. Hayes then continues to push Mr. Crumpton and a fight ensues. At one point they stop fighting and Ms. Hayes starts to walk away when Mr. Crumpton then walks over to Ms. Hayes and begins to fight her again physically. CCTV does show that the subjects stop fighting as Capt. Railey and I pull Into the parking lot. Ms. Hayes states that she would like to be checked by EMS.
Atrium EMS arrived on the scene and transported Ms. Hayes to the Emergency Room due to blood pressure issues. Mr. Crumpton was placed Into custody and transported to the Chattooga County Jail with no issues. Warrants are being applied for Ms. Hayes.
