On the date of 11-18-2025 at or around 22:48 hours, I, Deputy Claxton was dispatched to [600 BLOCK] McConnell Road for a male subject trying to evict [VICTIM #1] from her residence with a firearm.

Myself and Deputy Reynolds arrived on scene at or around 23:01 hours and I spoke with Ms. [VICTIM #1] who stated her landlord Byron Nuckolls had been in her yard screaming at here to leave the property and that he wanted her gone. She furthermore stated that while Mr. Nuckolls was not only waving a firearm while yelling in her yard but that he pointed it directly at her and stated if she didn’t leave he would get her out one way or another. Deputy Reynolds and I could hear what appeared to be somone running in the woods around the residence. After briefly walking in the direction of the sound and calling out to Mr. Nuckolls.

Mr. Nuckolls answered my call out and stepped out into an open field as we appraoched I gave Mr. Nuckolls verbal commands to show me his hands and lift his shirt due to the possibility of him being in possession of a firearm during the incident. Deputy Reynolds placed Mr. Nuckolls in handcuffs behind the back, checked for fit, and double locked. After asking Mr. Nuckolls about the incident and letting him know that he was only detained he admitted to running around the woods and screaming at Ms. [VICTIM #1] from the yard. He denied having a firearm but stated there was a gun just not his.

I stopped Mr. Nuckolls and read him his Miranda warning to which he refused to answer and more questions and was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct. I escorted Mr. Nuckolls to Deputy Reynolds patrol car and a search of the open field and wood line was conducted for the weapon. That search which was conducted on the open field doctrine yielded no results of a firearm.

Deputy Reynolds transported Mr. Nuckolls to the Chattooga County Jail without incident. While I stayed to have a witness [WITNESS #1] and Ms. [VICTIM #1] fill out witness statements on the events of the incident prior to our arrival. After the witness statments were complete and all information was collected I left the scene.
