On the above date and time, I Deputy G Whitworth was dispatched to [300 BLOCK] Dickeyville Rd in reference to a physical domestic. Myself, Deputy A Garmany, Officer T Railey (TPD), and Officer B Peace (TPD) arrived on scene and met with a hispanic male, identified later as 23 yr old Rene Juan Ramirez, in the front yard who appeared to be intoxicated and reeked of an alcoholic beverage.
There was a language barrier when we were trying to speak with him so Deputy Garmany got our dispatcher, [REDACTED], on the phone to translate. We then observed a hispanic female, later identified as 24 yr old [VICTIM #1], standing on the bottom step of the front porch whom appeared to have been crying as well as visible marks on her left eye.
We asked what happened and she stated that her and her husband got into an argument because of his drinking so he got very upset and hit her across the head with a large Modelo beer bottle. She then ran inside in attempt to get away from him and as she started to close the door, he forced it open, knocking her down causing a visible scratch to the back of left leg from the door striking her. She stated that while she was on the floor, he started punching her in the head, then grabbed her by the hair dragging her across the room as he was yelling at her telling her that he’s the man of the house, he pays the bills, and he would throw her out into the street with nothing. She further stated that he also told her that if he went to jail, his boss would bond him out, and he would come back to kill her.
There was also two children at the residence, one infant and one toddler. We asked if the children witnessed this violence and she stated that they were in their room asleep as well as her 20 yr old nephew so they did not witness it.
Mr Ramirez was arrested for the listed charges and as I left to transport him to the jail, Deputy Garmany was giving Ms [VICTIM #1] information to the Family Crisis Center to seek assistance if needed. I also filled out a blue warrantless arrest sheet for the listed charges.
