[NARRATIVE #1 on February 12, 2026]

On February 12, 2026 at approximately 10:18 PM, several other deputies and I went to [200 BLOCK] Renford Road to attempt to serve multiple warrants on Dusty Holland. Dusty had multiple warrants for probation violation, failure to appear, and violation of a family violence order.

Prior to our arrival, we determined that Deputy Jodesty would stop on Ball Ground Highway to watch the rear of the residence and the back gate while Deputy Lynch, Deputy Workman, and I would approach the back door. When we arrived, I saw the garage door of the residence closing. Deputy Lynch had arrived before me and told me she clearly saw Dusty in the garage with another female as the door was closing. We went to the front door and knocked multiple times while announcing ourselves and calling out to Dusty by name multiple times. There was no answer.

Due to Deputy Lynch seeing Dusty in the garage, we decided to obtain a search warrant to search the residence for Dusty. Deputy Lynch was able to contact a magistrate court judge and obtain a search warrant for the residence. When Deputy Lynch returned to the residence with the signed search warrant, Sergeant Hendrix announced over his patrol car’s PA system that we had a search warrant for the residence and an arrest warrant for Dusty Holland. He also gave clear orders for all occupants of the residence to come to the front door with their hands up. We waited some time, but nobody came to the door.

After waiting for some time, we approached the front door and Deputy Currie knocked and announced. I used breaching tools to open the glass door and attempted to force open the main door, but was unsuccessful. Deputy Currie and I kicked the door multiple times. On the third kick, the door frame splintered and the door opened. We again announced ourselves and called out for occupants to come to the door.

We saw a female, later identified as Amy Little, sitting on the couch with her hands up. We ordered her to the door and she complied. I placed handcuffs on her wrists and passed her off to Deputy Lynch. Next we noticed a male named [REDACTED] seated in a wheel chair in the living room. We called him to the door and he complied. We had to help him out of the front door. He was also handed off to another deputy.

We then heard a voice coming from upstairs. We called him out to the front door. A male, later identified as Jody McPherson, came down the stairs and walked to the front door. I detained Jody in handcuffs and handed him off to Deputy Workman. We called out again to Dusty by name and ordered her to come out. We got no reply from inside the home.

Other deputies and I began clearing the residence. We cleared the first and second story of the residence and did not locate Dusty. We located an attic access in the second floor hallway. We opened the attic and other deputies called out to Dusty with no response. Other deputies located Dusty in the attic and placed her under arrest. I walked Dusty out of the residence to a patrol car and stood by while Deputy Lynch searched her and Sergeant Hendrix changed out the handcuffs.

I then returned to the residence and left a copy of the search warrant and inventory in a conspicuous location on the kitchen table. I also photographed where I left the search warrant and the damage done to the door.

I returned to the driveway where Jody, [REDACTED], and Amy were standing with other deputies. Due to Amy and Jody being detained in handcuffs, I advised them of their Miranda rights before questioning them. Jody and Amy both admitted to hearing us give commands over the PA system. Jody told me he did not come to the door because Dusty told him not to answer the door and he did not feel it was his place to open the door. Amy said she did not come outside because it was cold and she did not think the warrant was for her.

I asked everybody who helped Dusty get into the attic and close the ladder and access hatch behind her. Everybody denied helping Dusty or closing the ladder behind her. Due to both Amy and Jody admitting they heard the lawful orders for them to exit the residence and their conscious decision to disregard those orders forcing us to force entry into the residence, I made the decision to place them both under arrest for misdemeanor obstruction of law enforcement. I told [REDACTED] that due to his apparent limited mobility and being confined to a wheelchair, I would give him the benefit of the doubt about being able to get to the door and would not charge him with obstruction.

Deputy Workman and I transported Jody to the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center while Deputy Lynch transported Dusty and Deputy Ryder transported Amy. I will be securing warrants for Jody and Amy for misdemeanor obstruction. Deputy Lynch will handle the charges for Dusty.

While at the jail, I used case management to verify that there were still special conditions of bond in effect for Dusty that stated she shall not be present at [200 BLOCK] Renford Rd. I passed this information onto Deputy Lynch.

[NARRATIVE #2 on February 12, 2026]

On Thursday, February 12, 2026, at approximately 10:18 PM, I, Deputy S. D. Workman, responded to [200 BLOCK] Renford Rd. in reference to arrest warrant service. Deputies L. Lynch, C. Jodesty, and CPL C. O’Neill also responded. The subject listed on the arrest warrant was Ms. Dusty Holland (offender), and that address was listed on said warrant.

As we arrived, Deputy Lynch observed the garage door opening and saw Ms. Holland in the garage. Deputy Lynch attempted to approach the garage door to effect an arrest, but Ms. Holland had seen deputies arrive and closed the garage door. We knocked, identified ourselves as Sheriff’s Deputies, and ordered Ms. Holland to exit the residence. She did not comply.

After several minutes, the decision was made to seek a search warrant for the residence. I remained on the house perimeter as CPL O’Neill and Deputy Lynch sought this warrant. Several more deputies arrived to assist during this time. When the warrant was acquired, areas of responsibility were assigned, and an announcement made over a patrol vehicle PA system notifying the residence of the search warrant and ordering the occupants to exit unarmed with their hands in the air.

The entry team then approached the front entrance of the residence. I assisted CPL O’Neill in breaching the door with hand tools before he and Deputy Curry kicked it open. From the front door, three subjects were ordered from the residence and detained; none of these were Ms. Holland. As these subjects were interviewed and identified, the entry team entered and cleared the residence searching for Ms. Holland. She was located in the attic of the residence and placed under arrest.

The three detained individuals (Ms. Amy Little, Mr. Jody McPherson, and [REDACTED]) were read their Miranda Warning and advised they understood and wished to speak with us. They were questioned on why they had disobeyed law enforcement orders to open the door or to exit the residence.

After this interview, the decision was made to place Mr. McPherson and Ms. Little under arrest for Obstruction. I swapped Mr. McPherson’s handcuffs for my own, double-locking and checking them for fit, and searched him incident to arrest. He was placed in the back of may patrol vehicle.

I then transported Mr. McPherson to the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center for booking.

[NARRATIVE #3 on February 12, 2026]

On February 12th, 2026, I, Corporal Poulos responded to [200 BLOCK] Renford Rd, Ball Ground, GA to assist Freehome Deputies with a search warrant for a wanted subject. Dusty Holland had a warrant for her arrest and fled into the residence when Freehome Deputies attempted to serve her warrant prior to my arrival.

Dusty was observed with another female in the garage. Both females fled into the residence and closed the garage door upon seeing law enforcement. According to Freehome Deputies, Dusty has a history of obstructing law enforcement during previous arrests and a search warrant for the residence was being secured.

Upon my arrival, I met with Sgt. Hendrix, Cpl. O’Neill, and D/S Currie. After the search warrant was secured and a copy was on scene, loud verbal commands were given to the occupants of [200 BLOCK] Renford Rd via a marked patrol car’s public address system. The announcement stated a search warrant was secured for the residence and advised all occupants to exit with their hands up.

After a reasonable period of time an additional announcement was given at the front door. After no contact was made the door was attempted to be breached with mechanical breaching equipment. After a few attempts were made the door was kicked open by D/S Currie and Cpl. O’Neill. I observed a female sitting on a couch in the living room and a male in a wheelchair in the living room. Both occupant we given verbal commands to exit and were detained. After additional verbal commands were given a second male walked down the stairs and was detained.

Based on statements made by the individuals detained we believed Dusty was still hiding inside the residence. Sgt. Hendrix, Cpl. O’Neill, D/S Currie, and I entered the residence and began clearing it. While clearing the upstairs level of the residence I observed that the pull string for the attic access stairs was pulled to the inside of the attic. I provided cover on the attic until the rest of the residence was cleared, Dusty was still not accounted for at that time. Sgt. Hendrix opened the attic access and D/S Currie and I entered.

While in the attic I observed footprints in the insulation and notified D/S Currie. I then walked out on the rafters and observed legs of an individual later identified as Dusty Holland attempting to hide in a recessed area in the attic. I gave Dusty verbal commands to come to me, and she complied at that time. Dusty was sent down the attic stairs under her own power where she was placed under arrest.

Once the scene was deemed clear and secured, I returned to service.

[NARRATIVE #4 on February 12, 2026]

On 02-12-2026, at 2241 hours, I responded as back up to a warrant service at [200 BLOCK] Renford Road. I arrived on scene and met Corporal O’Neill and deputies already on scene. I stood by while the warrant service was being conducted.

During the service Amy Little was arrested for obstruction of a law enforcement officer. I conducted the search incident to arrest search of Amy’s person. No contraband was found. Amy was placed in the rear of my patrol car.

I transported Amy to the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center. Amy was turned over to the detention staff to be booked and processed accordingly. I searched the rear of my patrol for contraband. None was found.

I returned to service.

[NARRATIVE #5 on February 12, 2026]

On February 12th, 2026 I responded to [200 BLOCK] Renford Rd. to assist Freehome deputies with a search warrant for Dusty Holland, who also had a warrant for her arrest. Freehome Deputies had arrived on scene earlier and observed Dusty and another female in the garage. Both females fled into the residence and closed the garage.

I retrieved my less lethal shotgun and went towards the front of the residence. A loud warning from a patrol car was given over PA. Myself and other deputies approached the front door. I knocked several times and announced Sheriff’s Office search warrant.

Deputies were able to use breaching tools to open the screen door but were unable to open the main door. Myself and Cpl. O’Neill were able to kick the door open. Two males and a female exited the front door and were taken into custody. Myself and other deputies cleared the main structure until only the attic was left. Myself and Deputy Poulos went into the attic and found Dusty hiding in the insulation.

I returned to service, nothing further.

[NARRATIVE #6 on February 13, 2026]

On February 13, 2026, I responded to [200 BLOCK] Renford Road to complete a warrant service on the residence for Dusty Dawn Holland.

Dusty had four active arrest warrants (warrant numbers: 24DV0062, 24DV0220, 24DV0393-AJ, CE0143835-1) for two counts of Violation of Probation, Failure to Appear for State Court, and Violating a Family Violence Order. [200 BLOCK] Renford Road is the last known address for Dusty which is why deputies have attempted to complete multiple warrant services there in the past. While travelling down Renford Road towards address [200 BLOCK], I observed the garage door on the property open. Inside the garage, I recognized Dusty and another female rushing to close the garage door.

Due to having seen Dusty with her vehicle in the garage, I knocked on the front door and announced myself as being from the Sheriff’s Office. I knocked and called for Dusty repeatedly while backup units arrived and spanned the property. I noticed a plethora of security cameras pointed towards where deputies were staged. After multiple knocks and instructing Dusty to come to the door, it was decided deputies had enough to apply for a search warrant.

I secured a search warrant (docket number: E014756), printed it, and returned to the residence. Multiple deputies staged in front of the house while a deputy employed his vehicle’s PA system to instruct all occupants to exit the residence. After receiving no response, deputies began to open the front two doors. After the top glass door was opened, deputies once again knocked and demanded all occupants come to the front door. After again receiving no response, the front door was breached and deputies ordered one female and two males out of the residence.

The occupants, later identified as Amy Little, Jody McPherson, and [REDACTED], were escorted out of the residence and placed in handcuffs. Deputy Workman and I stayed with the occupants while backup units searched the residence for Dusty. Once the units found Dusty hiding in the attic, they brought her to the front of my patrol vehicle. I did a search of Dusty’s person employing the back of my hand and placed her in the back of the vehicle.

Due to Dusty hiding in the attic, she had pieces of insulation stuck to her person. Dusty informed me she had swallowed some [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and may require medical attention. Due to the concern for the [REDACTED BY AGENCY] I called for EMT personnel to check on her at the scene. After her vitals were checked, I transported Dusty to the Adult Detention Center.

While Dusty was going through the intake process, she was reminded that due to conditions of bond from her previous arrest, she was not to be at the [200 BLOCK] Renford Road address. A copy of Dusty’s special conditions of bond will be placed in the case folder. A copy of the Search Warrant was left in a conspicuous location on the kitchen table. I booked Dusty under all four warrants as well as Misdemeanor Obstruction and Violation of a Family Violence Order. I did a search of my backseat of my patrol vehicle for contraband and went back into service.

Corporal O’Neill arrested Amy and Jody with obstruction for failing to come out of the house when ordered.

See his supplemental for further.
