On the above stated date I responded to [11300 BLOCK] Avonlea Place in reference to a domestic dispute. Upon my arrival I met with Danielle Campos who had visible scratched on her neck, a busted lip and nose. She admitted to having been drunk and starting the argument over the victim, [VICTIM #1], offering her daughter, [WITNESS #2], nausia medication. She was vague in her description of events and stated that she could not remember how things became physical.
I interviewed. [VICTIM #1] who gave great detail in the evenings events. [VICTIM #1] stated that Danielle was drinking and became angry over her offering her daughter medication. She stated that Danielle “charged at her” while she was in the bathroom and struck her in the head so hard she felt like she was going to “black out” She stated that Danielle kept hitting her and then pinned her to the wall in the bathroom and placed both of her hands around [VICTIM #1]’s neck from the front. She stated that she pushed Danielle off of her several times but that she kept lunging back at her. She had visible bruising around her neck, on both arms and wrists, a busted upper and lower lip, and scratches on her chest. The altercation started around 7:30 pm and continued until police arrived. [VICTIM #1] also stated that Danielle became upset because she wanted to look through [VICTIM #1]’s phone but [VICTIM #1] would not allow her to do so. [VICTIM #1] stated that Danielle at that point began breaking drawers and other items in the room. I took pictures of the scene and both parties.
I spoke with [WITNESS #2] who witnessed Danielle breaking drawers and a mirror during the fight and overheard the altercation from another room.
Danielle was arrested for FVA battery, Aggravated assault strangulation and criminal Damage to property, being placed in handcuffs, double locked and checked for fit. She was then taken to Cherokee County ADC
