On June 2, 2025, I was dispatched to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in reference to a rape call. Upon arrival, I met with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and her [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] I asked [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to explain what happened, and she informed me of the following:

January 29-30, 2025
She has been dating Hayden Barnes for about six months. On January 29, 2025, Hayden and she went to [REDACTED]’s house, a friend of Hayden’s. She only knew that [REDACTED] lived somewhere in the Bridgemill subdivision. She drank a lot of alcoholic beverages and doesn’t remember much from that night. At some point, she passed out, and Hayden had sex with her while she was unconscious. She woke up to someone sending her a picture of Hayden on top of her while she was asleep; she was wearing only a bra in the picture. She does not remember having sex with Hayden, so the next day she texted Hayden, “We had sex?” Hayden replied, “Yeah you loved it.” Before they began drinking at [REDACTED]’s house, she tried to leave because she did not want to spend the night. Hayden hid her keys from her so she couldn’t go. She mentioned that the relationship was so new at that time that she didn’t think much of Hayden hiding her keys that night. On February 16, 2025, Hayden bought 12 bouquets of flowers to apologize and said it would never happen again.

She obtained the above mentioned picture because Hayden posted it on his Instagram and showed his close friends.

March 23, 2025
Near the Dunkin Donuts located off of Ga Hwy 92, Hayden slammed her head into the car door, pushed, and slapped her inside the vehicle. This incident occurred in Cherokee County.

May 2025
At an Airbnb in Acworth, uncertain if it was within Cherokee County, Hayden threw her onto the floor, causing her to hit her head on the corner of a couch. This resulted in a [REDACTED BY AGENCY] on her [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and caused her to [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. At her residence, Hayden hit her in the nose so hard she thought her nose broke. This strike was an open-handed slap to the face. In a separate incident at her residence, Hayden took her phone and would not let her leave the basement. Hayden kept her confined to the basement from 5 AM to 2 PM, when her father returned home work. Whenever she attempted to leave the basement, Hayden would throw her to the ground to prevent her from leaving. During this time, Hayden choked her, threw her down any time she would try to leave, slapped her numerous times, and shoved his fingers [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to choke her. During this time, she was uncertain whether her father was still inside the house, so she attempted to cry out loudly in hopes that he might hear her.

I asked [REDACTED BY AGENCY] how he choked her, and she demonstrated with 2 hands and 1 hand wrapped around her throat. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that during the numerous times she was choked, sometimes she could not [REDACTED BY AGENCY] at all, and sometimes she just [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said sometimes she would [REDACTED BY AGENCY] for the next couple of days after being choked. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said one time, while Hayden was choking her, he told her he would choke her until she stopped breathing, but not long enough to kill her.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] and her parents also informed me of several other incidents that occurred in other jurisdictions. One incident occurred in Dekalb County, where Hayden took her belongings, including her phone, and left her in Dekalb. Another incident occurred in North Carolina where Hayden bit her [REDACTED BY AGENCY] leaving a [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. Another incident occurred on Roswell Road in the Spouts parking lot. Hayden chased her around the car, choked her, and took her phone to obtain nude photographs of her. On May 27, 2025, Hayden left her in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and took her ID so she could not fly home. Fort Lauderdale case# 342505093749. I informed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] she would need to contact these agencies to file a report with them.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] showed me several pictures she took after being abused. I noticed various [REDACTED BY AGENCY] on her body, a [REDACTED BY AGENCY] on her [REDACTED BY AGENCY] on her body, and notable [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in the [REDACTED BY AGENCY] of her [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that all the [REDACTED BY AGENCY] on her body that she showed me were from Hayden. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] also had a video from a Uber driver where she heard Hayden and a friend, [REDACTED], claimed to have created a AI signature and plan on committing fraudulent activity under [REDACTED BY AGENCY] name. They did not notice any fraudulent activity at the time this report was taken.

Since Hayden and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] do not live together, I asked [REDACTED BY AGENCY] if she wanted to pursue charges. She indicated that she did. I also requested that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] send me all the evidence she has and provided her with an Axon link.

I contacted Sgt. Haugh, who works with the Criminal Investigation Division, briefed him on the incident.
