[NARRATIVE #1 on April 14, 2026]

On April 14, 2026, I was patrolling the area of Reinhardt College Parkway (SR-140) and Lower Burris Road. I observed a dark colored SUV (GA Tag: [REDACTED] Black 2022 Dodge Durango), which the Waleska Precinct deputies and I were familiar with. The Dodge Durango was known to have Isaiah Davis in it, who potentially had warrants.

I observed the vehicle make a right turn from Lower Burris Road onto Reinhardt College Parkway. The vehicle then traveled northbound and, upon me getting behind it, made a left turn onto Timberland Drive. At this point, I believed the vehicle was performing a “heat check” and attempting to see if I was following it. Due to my training, knowledge, and experience, I am familiar with “heat checks.” It is a common tactic used to see if a vehicle is being followed, and an attempt to evade law enforcement, typically due to criminal activity.

I pulled into a property next to Timberland Dr to wait for the vehicle to exit, and just after turning around, the vehicle came to the entrance and immediately made a right turn onto Reinhardt College Parkway. I continued to follow the SUV as it made a right turn onto Puckett Creek Road. The vehicle abruptly sped up on Puckett Creek Road. I estimated the speed when I had a visual on it to be approximately 55 mph. I then lost sight of the Dodge.

I rounded a corner and observed dirt from the side of the road in the air, indicating that a vehicle was traveling too fast for the current road conditions and was unable to maintain its lane. I then regained a short visual on the Dodge and observed it passing another vehicle (over the double solid yellow lines) in a blind curve near a hill. It passed this vehicle without being able to see around the curve to evaluate if other traffic was in the oncoming lane. I believed this to be incredibly reckless and immediately activated my emergency equipment to initiate a traffic stop.

I lost visual on the Dodge as it rounded a corner and then regained visual on it at the intersection of Puckett Creek Road and Sam Nelson Road. The vehicle continued to disregard my emergency lights and siren and continued towards Talcmine Drive. At one point, in front of the North Georgia Angel House, the driver (later identified as Isaiah Davis) held his hand out the driver’s window, acknowledging me attempting to effect a traffic stop.

The driver then passed a school bus that had just offloaded children and cut off a vehicle in the oncoming traffic lane, almost causing a motor vehicle collision. The vehicle proceeded at a high rate of speed onto Talcmine Drive, a one-lane road, passing children and pedestrians in the roadway. It sped down a gravel easement and stopped in the driveway of [200 BLOCK] Talcmine Drive. Isaiah then immediately stepped out of the vehicle. I immediately stepped out of my patrol vehicle, drew my service issued pistol, and pointed it at Isaiah. I ordered Isaiah to put his hands up and come towards me.

As I was a solo deputy and Isaiah’s family started to come out of the house, I held my position until another deputy could arrive on scene. Once Deputy Senay was on scene, I holstered my handgun and handcuffed Isaiah with his hands behind his back. The handcuffs were checked for proper fit and double locked. Isaiah was searched and stood by with Cpl. Whitfield, as I spoke with Isaiah’s fiancé, [REDACTED], she acknowledged that Isaiah had passed a vehicle on Puckett Creek Road, and I advised her that Isaiah would be placed under arrest for reckless driving.

Isaiah was placed in the prisoner cage of my patrol vehicle, seat belted, and transported to the Cherokee ADC. Once at the Cherokee ADC, Isaiah and his property were transferred to the custody of the jail staff. A TBT form was completed and Isaiah will be charged with the following:

– O.C.G.A. 40-6-390: Reckless Driving

  • For passing a vehicle on a double solid yellow line on Puckett Creek Road, near a curve, with complete disregard for the motor public
  • Failing to yield to a vehicle in on-coming traffic, nearly causing a motor vehicle collision
  • Operating a vehicle at excessive speeds near a school bus stop where children were just dropped off

– O.C.G.A. 40-6-46: Passing in a No Passing Zone

  • For passing a motor vehicle, crossing over double solid yellow lines on Puckett Creek Road

– O.C.G.A. 40-6-71: Failing to Yield Turning Left

  • For failing to yield to a motor vehicle in an oncoming traffic lane, turning left onto Talcmine Drive from Sam Nelson Road

– O.C.G.A. 40-6-395 (Felony): Fleeing and Eluding

  • For actively attempting to flee from law enforcement attempting to make a traffic stop
  • Engaged in Reckless operation of a motor vehicle.

A warrant will be applied for. Prior to leaving the jail, I completed a search of my prisoner cage for stashed weapons and contraband; none were found. I returned to service.
