On Thursday, October 09, 2025, at approximately 1306 hours, I responded to the area of 245 Riverstone Parkway, Exxon in reference to an assault that had just occurred. Dispatch advised that the male left on foot wearing a blue shirt and black pants. Sergeant Salas called out with the male nearby in front of Aldi, 553 Riverstone Parkway.
I went to the Exxon and observed the video of the incident with Officer Cordry. In the video, the business refused to sell the male tobacco products because he did not have his identity on his person. The male then began to scream and curse at employees while other people were inside the business. The owner of the business then requested a criminal trespass, and stated that he did wish to pursue charges. I then relocated back to Sergeant Salas’ position.
The male, later identified as Mr. Joseph Webb, was handcuffed, behind his back, double locked and checked for fit. I then searched the male and seated him in the rear right seat of my patrol vehicle for transport to the Cherokee County ADC. I did engage the seatbelt for the male for safety. The rear seat of my patrol vehicle was searched at the beginning of my shift, and both before and after transport of Mr. Webb, yielding negative results for any illegal substances or contraband.
I transported Mr. Webb to the ADC without incident. While on scene at the ADC, I issued Mr. Webb one citation for Disorderly Conduct, OCGA 16-11-30 (Citation Number: 25005887). I also issued Mr. Webb a criminal trespass warning for the Exxon gas station located at 245 Riverstone Parkway. Mr. Webb refused to sign the criminal trespass warning, but he did sign the citation. While on scene at the ADC, I heard Mr. Webb ask the jail staff why arguing with someone could be considered disorderly conduct. All of Mr. Webb’s personal items were retained by jail staff at the ADC.
