[NARRATIVE #1 on April 17, 2026]
On Friday, April 17, 2026 at approximately 10:30pm, I responded to a motor vehicle crash on Bells Ferry Road at Airstrip Drive involving a single vehicle. Deputy Sedowicz and Cpl. Poulos arrived before I did. When I arrived, I observed a silver Hyundai Tucson, Georgia tag [REDACTED], was stopped down an embankment on the south side of Airstrip Drive. The Hyundai was resting against a tree and power pole guy wires. Deputy Sedowicz was speaking to a female, identified as Sharon Hill, while Cpl. Poulos spoke to a male, identified as Micah Robertson.
I spoke to Deputy Sedowicz and learned Sharon was in the driver’s seat and Micah in the passenger seat when they first arrived. Both Sharon and Micah appeared to be intoxicated. They each claimed at different times to be the driver and the passenger.
I spoke to Sharon and she said she wanted to take the consequences but Micah was actually the driver. Sharon told me she lived “right here in Waleska”. When I asked for clarification, Sharon knew she was not currently in Waleska, saying she was about 20 minutes away, “in Cumming”. I noticed Sharon was not wearing any shoes and I asked about them. Sharon said she was wearing flip flops and they were still in the car.
I inspected the Hyundai and noticed a pair of black flip flops on the passenger floorboard. I also noted a purse on the passenger floorboard. I noted an open tall boy White Claw alcoholic beverage in the center console cupholder.
I went to speak to Micah, who was still talking to Cpl. Poulos. Micah told Cpl. Poulos about multiple vodka alcoholic beverages he consumed at JD’s On The Lake, a nearby restaurant. I asked Micah about how the wreck happened and Micah could not provide a clear explanation. Micah stated “I fu*ked up” multiple times.
I asked Micah again about his alcohol consumption. Micah told me he drank several shots of vodka mixed drinks. I asked him to rate himself on a scale of 1-10, 1 being sober and 10 being extremely intoxicated. Micah rated himself at a 5. While speaking to Micah, observed a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath, he had slurred speech, his eyes to be red and watery, and he swayed dramatically.
I asked Micah if I could check his eyes, referring to conducting the horizontal gaze nystagmus evaluation (HGN), and he agreed. I verified he did not have any head injuries and did not wear glasses or contacts. I had Micah sit down on the front bumper of the patrol car we were in front of because Micah swayed was swaying so dramatically it would have been very difficult to complete the evaluation. I verified he had equal tracking, equal pupil size, and resting nystagmus was not present. During HGN, I observed 6 out of 6 validated clues:
Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus:
Lack of smooth pursuit in both eyes.
Distinct and sustained nystagmus at maximum deviation.
Onset of nystagmus prior to 45 degrees.
During HGN, there were a couple moments when Micah got distracted and stopped following the stimulus. I restarted those passes. There were other moments when Micah would stop following the stimulus momentarily before refocusing.
I asked Micah if he would participate in further evaluations. He told me his leg hurt and it would prevent him from walking. I asked him if he could stand straight up in one spot. Micah stood up and began to walk forward but fell over. I caught Micah before he hit the ground and helped him back to the push bumper.
I asked Micah about his education and learned he reached sophomore year of high school. I asked him if he would be willing to recite the portion of the alphabet beginning with the letter “G” and ending with the letter “O”. Micah agreed and stated “G, H, I, G, H, I, Fu*k. That’s, That’s about like, G, H, I, I’m kind of lost here”. I asked Micah if he was better with numbers and he said he was. I asked him to count back from “69” to “42”. Micah agreed and stated “69, 42, 42, 43” then stopped citing he was nervous because Deputy Sedowicz walked nearby. I asked Micah if he believed he was safe to drive. Micah stated “No sir”.
Based on Micah’s admission to consuming alcoholic beverages, the odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath, his red watery eyes, and my observations during HGN, I determined Micah was impaired to the extent he was less safe to drive, and he would be arrested for OCGA 40-6-391 DUI. I informed Micah he was under arrest and handcuffed him behind his back, checking for the proper fit and double locking them. I searched Micah’s right side while Deputy Sedowicz searched his left side. I retrieved my patrol car and moved it closer to Micah in order to avoid Micah walking longer distances.
I secured Micah in the rear seat of my patrol car and seat belted him in. I verified Micah was over the age of 21 and read him the Georgia implied consent notice for suspects age 21 or over, requesting a state administered chemical test of his blood. Micah agreed. I asked Micah about his relation to Sharon. Micah said she was his mother.
I began to transport Micah to the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center when his cell phone rang. He received a phone call from his “Mom”. I accepted the phone call and held it so Micah could speak to his mother via speaker phone. Micah told his mom he was being arrested for DUI after a car crash. I explained the incident to Micah’s mom. She told me she knew “for a fact” Micah was not driving but could not provide a fact. She said Sharon told called her to say she was the one driving. After hanging up the phone, I gave Micah the Miranda warnings and asked if he would speak to me and he agreed. I asked about his relationship to Sharon since his mom just called meaning Sharon was not his mother. Micah refused to comment.
I transported Micah to the jail and turned him over to jail staff. I completed the proper paper work and turned it into the property Deputy. I issued Micah citations for: 1) OCGA 40-6-48 weaving (ECSO011933). 2) OCGA 40-6-253 open container (ECSO011934). 3) OCGA 40-6-391 DUI (ECSO011935).
The civilian employee, Mrs. [REDACTED], at the property counter called me over. She handed a tied baggie containing a white powdery substance, likely cocaine, which she found in the front left pocket of Micah’s pants. I reminded Micah of the Miranda warnings and asked if he would answer my questions. Micah said he did not want to answer any questions. I told Micah he would charged with OCGA 16-13-30 possession of a schedule II controlled substance and OCGA 42-5-12 crossing the guard line with drugs. I showed Micah the cocaine and he said “oh fu*k”. I filled out a request to hold for a warrant form for the above charges.
I am a qualified phlebotomist and drew Micah’s blood using a GBI Blood Alcohol/Toxicology Kit. Prior to departing the jail, I searched the rear seat of my patrol car, locating no contraband. The white powdery substance was field tested with a positive result as cocaine. The cocaine and the blood kit were submitted into evidence, recorded on ECR-26- 00838. I returned to service.

[NARRATIVE #2 on April 17, 2026]
On April 17, 2026, I was dispatched to Bells Ferry Road and Air Strip Drive for an accident. The caller advised a car was in a ditch and had hit a telephone pole and was told to not call law enforcement by the driver and occupant.
When I arrived, I located a 2013 Silver Hyundai Tucson (Georgia Tag [REDACTED]) approximately 10 yards down a ditch against a tree. Inside the vehicle was a female in the driver seat and a male in the passenger seat. I asked them if they were hurt and both stated no. Both the female and male had heavily slurred speech and there was an open White Claw in the cup holder in the vehicle. 4 empty Tito’s mini bottles were later located in the floorboard of the passenger seat by Cpl. Poulos.
Both the male and female got out of the vehicle. I identified the female as Sharon Hill and the male as Micah Robertson. Sharon told me she was the one driving the vehicle. When Sharon would speak, I could smell the strong smell of an alcoholic beverage emitting from her breath. When Micah spoke, he struggled to form sentences. Paramedics checked on Micah and Sharon, and they advised they were okay. I asked Sharon and Micah to stand up and walk towards my patrol car. When Micah attempted to walk, he was very unsteady on his feet and paramedics, and I had to help him to the front of the patrol car.
I went and spoke with Sharon, I once again asked her if she was the one driving the vehicle, Sharon hesitated and then told me Micah was the driver. Sharon advised that they were at JD’s on the Lake and were heading back home in Waleska. When they were leaving, she knew she was unsafe to drive so Micah volunteered to drive. Sharon stated Micah was driving the vehicle and after the accident she switched seats with him to keep him out of trouble. Sharon asked numerous times if she could take the charge and Micah just go home.
Deputy Miller arrived on scene and took over the DUI investigation. Sharon called someone to come pick her up and take her home. I remained on scene until Maudling’s wrecker removed the vehicle from the ditch and the tow truck cleared the scene.
