On April 11 20026 at approximately 0315 hours, I was stationed in the gore at I-575 North at the Highway 92 exit observing traffic. I observed a blue Mazda [REDACTED BY AGENCY] traveling on 575 North on the left lane and the vehicle appeared to be traveling over the posted 70 mile per hour speed limit. I caught to the vehicle around the Towne Lake Parkway to pace it but by the time I caught up, the vehicle was still in the left lane and had slowed down considerably. While I was observing the vehicle traveling between the Towne Lake and Ridgewalk Parkway exits, the vehicle failed to maintain lane 4 times by going off the left side of the lane into the left shoulder.

I performed a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified the driver as Mr. Nicholas Callahan. After further investigation, Mr. Callahan was arrested for DUI, failure to maintain lane, and possession of a schedule I substance for several smoking devices with THC wax residues and THC vapes located on his person and inside his vehicle. Vehicle towed by Mauldin Towing.
