On January 22nd, 2026 I responded to the area of Wade Green Rd / Highway 92 in reference to a male on a bicycle that had brandished a pistol and pointed it at vehicles traveling behind him. Intel advised they observed this bicycle travel NB through the intersection of Wade Green Rd / Highway 92 into the Shell parking lot where they turned right. Intel then advised this bicycle did not make it to Robin Rd, therefore they turned off prior to then.
Multiple units patrolled the area with no contact. Intel attached a picture of the person on the bicycle to the CAD. This image will be attached into Axon. This bicycle is black, and distinctly had a thick white ring around the back tire, and the front tire was solid black. The suspect on the bicycle was wearing a Hi Viz yellow jacket, a helmet, darker colored pants, and black gloves.
I contacted the victim in the case, [VICTIM #1], and he stated he was traveling behind this bicycle when the suspected male brandished a black pistol and pointed it back towards him. [VICTIM #1] stated this male pointed it directly at him. He stated this bicycle then got beside him and waved the gun at him, showing him he had a gun. [VICTIM #1] stated he would like to press charges on this male.
I then rolled through Tyson Dr, which is the only roadway in between Wade Green Rd and Robin Rd on Highway 92. I located a bicycle leaning against the right side of the residence of [5500 BLOCK] Tyson Dr, which we have had numerous problems at. A closer look at this bicycle I was able to observe it had the thick white ring on the back tire, and the front tire was solid black. I then knocked on the door at this residence, with no answer.
I short while later myself and Deputy Sullivan knocked on the door again, with no response. We could hear noise inside this residence. A male pulled into the driveway and stated he was moving into this residence today. This residence houses multiple individuals, with seven different bedrooms, each having a pad lock on their door and labeled.
I advised this male of the incident that had occurred, and he agreed to let us check inside the residence for the suspect. This male identified himself as [REDACTED], and entered the residence using a pin code for the front door. All seven doors inside the residence were closed and locked. I knocked on all doors, and no one answered. I asked [REDACTED] to contact me if he were to find out who was riding this bicycle.
At 4:06 PM Deputy Sullivan advised he had observed another vehicle pull into the driveway at [5500 BLOCK] Tyson Dr. We came back to this address to make contact. I knocked on the door again, with no answer. [REDACTED] was just pulling back into the driveway when we were on scene and stated he would let us back into the residence.
Immediately upon walking into the residence I observed a black male, wearing a ski mask, and dark clothing carrying a clothes basket to his room. This male was identified as Perry Gleaton. I asked Perry if he rides the bicycle parked beside the residence, and he confirmed that was his bike.
I advised we were there to talk to him about an incident that occurred on Wade Green Rd a few hours ago and he stated he knew what I was talking about. Perry confirmed he did brandish a pistol because he felt the car behind him was following too closely to him. He told me he unholstered his pistol, and pointed it directly behind him. He stated he did not wave the firearm at the victim when they were beside each other.
Perry stated he did not believe he pointed it at the vehicle, but more towards the ground. Perry agreed he should not have done this. He stated his only intent was to intimidate the person in the vehicle behind him. He walked Deputy Sullivan and I to his bedroom which smelled strongly of marijuana. He stated his pistol was in a black backpack on his bed.
He gave me permission to go search this backpack, but he was very nervous about it. Inside the backpack was a black SARSILMAZ SAP-9X 9mm pistol Serial #T110220BV54428. It had an empty magazine loaded into it, and another attached to it that was loaded with multiple FMJ 9mm rounds. This matched the description of the firearm used in the crime.
Approximately 10grams of marijuana was located inside Perry’s backpack. He stated he had just purchased this just before coming back home. Perry’s girlfriend, [REDACTED], was sitting on Perry’s bed during this entire incident, and advised she heard us knocking on the door of the residence over the last few hours, but did not want to answer the door.
I advised Perry he was under arrest, and placed him in handcuffs, checking for proper fit, and double locking them. Deputy Nalley transported Perry to the Cherokee ADC. I placed Perry’s pistol and marijuana into evidence. I will secure warrants on Perry for pointing a firearm at another, disorderly conduct, and possession of marijuana less than 1 oz.
