On July 29, 2022 at approximately 1045 hours, I, Ofc. Butler was in the area of Interstate 575 and Ridgewalk Parkway monitoring traffic traveling northbound. I noticed a car (Silver, Ford Taurus / [REDACTED]) traveling in the right lane northbound suddenly slowed down and weaved within the lane and then left the right lane, entered the left lane with only the drivers side tires crossing over the line and jerked the car back into the right lane.

I attempted to catch up to the vehicle northbound, approaching the Little River Bridge I witnessed the car tires drive over the painted lines two (2) more times. I initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with the driver (Tiffiney Palmer), I informed her the reason for the traffic stop and asked for her license.

While speaking with Tiffiney, I observed several deceptive behavior changes (nervous laugh, looking erratically through the car, hands and voice shaky) when questioned about illegal drugs. I asked Tiffiney to step out of the car, she complied. I asked for consent to search the vehicle, she gave verbal consent for law enforcement to search the car.

While searching the car, Tiffiney stood by with Officer Fernandez who arrived to assist. I did locate a pill (tablet, white, round and inscribed R/P-10) suspected to be Oxycodone 10 Mg in the center console area under her cup and one inside her purse. I asked Tiffiney what prescriptions (RX) medicines were currently issued to her, she said [REDACTED BY AGENCY].

Tiffiney was placed under arrest and charged with Possession of Schedule II and Failure to Maintain Lane. Ofc. Fernandez transported Tiffiney to the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center. Neese Towing impounded the vehicle and the evidence collected was placed on an evidence control sheet and placed in the evidence locker. Arrest warrants were obtained on this date for Tiffiney as well.
