Cherokee County (October 7, 2022) – Woodstock Police arrested a man who followed, filmed, and was accused of exposing himself to a woman on a park trail.

Detrick Davione Bundrage, 20, was arrested after a witness called police and told them an unknown and upset woman told her to “call 911” because a man on Greenprints Trail showed her his penis and was following her. The victim told the witness she had a gun in her purse and left the area before police arrived.

Responding officers with the Woodstock Police Department put out a BOLO for a black male wearing all black.

Officer Ismach noticed Bundrage riding a bicycle from the area where the incident occurred and saw that he matched the description of the suspect. Bundrage attempted to flee on his bicycle but was stopped by Ismach and eventually detained by Ismach and two other officers.

Bundrage immediately became confrontational and said, “this is about the female on the trails!” He resisted the officers’ attempt to arrest him by stiffening his arms and pulling away.

While he was initially uncooperative, Bundrage eventually agreed to speak with officers and admitted to following and filming the unknown woman. He said he noticed her on the trail because she had a “nice butt.” Bundrage showed Officer Ismach the videos on his phone of the woman he recorded on the trail.

Bundrage was booked into the Cherokee Adult Detention Center and charged with public indecency and obstruction. He was later granted a $2,500 bond. An arraignment is scheduled in the Cherokee County State Court on November 14.

An arrest affidavit completed by Officer Ismach details the incident further, claiming Bundrage was masturbating with his pants down while following the unknown victim on the trail.

Records indicate the victim was not located, identified, or interviewed by police.

On Friday 10/07/2022 at 1914 hours, Officer Buckner was dispatched to Woofstock Park, in reference to a call stating that a black male exposed himself to a female. Officer Buckner arrived, and gave a BOLO for the male, a black male wearing all black. Officer Bitzer was at a trail end, near Moes, where he noticed a male who was on a bicycle, wearing a sweatshirt. He matched the description of the male, and when he went to make contact with the male, he drove his bicycle off at a high rate of speed.

I was in the area of Hwy 92/Main St, when Officer Bitzer gave the BOLO of the male on the bicycle. I observed that male matching that description at Hwy 92/Main St near the crosswalk. I got out of my vehicle and attempte to make contact with the male, where I told him to get off the bicycle. The male did, and became very confrontational, stating that he did not know why he he was being stopped. The male also stated along the lines of, “this is about the female on the trails.”

At this point, I knew that it was the male. I asked him to sit down, where he again became confrontational. Units arrived for backup and I had him escorted to the front of my vehicle. Deterick was also searched incident to arrest. Due to the male not being very cooperative, I attempted to detain him, where the male attempted to prevent me from placing him into handcuffs by tensing up and not giving us his arm. It took myself, Bitzer and Shaw to detain him and place him into handcuffs.

The male was than read his Miranda Warning where he initially stated he did not want to talk. He was identified as Deterick Bundrage. Deterick was placed into vehicle #516. Deterick was than advised why he was being arrested, where he than stated that he did want to start “talking.” Deterick told me that all he did was encounter a female on the trail, and began to follow her and videotape her. Deterick stated that he never pulled down his pants.

I spoke to a witness on the phone who was the initial caller, [WITNESS #1]. [WITNESS #1] told me that she encountered a frantic female who stated that a black male wearing all black had exposed himself to her, and was following her. The victim also stated to call 911. [WITNESS #1] stated that the female who told her this, left the scene before police arrived. [WITNESS #1] stated that the victim stated “she had a gun in her purse.” [WITNESS #1] stated that she did not know the female who was the victim.

Deterick was transported to Cherokee ADC, where he was booked in. At the jail, I asked Deterick his version of what happened agian, where he stated that he saw a female on the trail, near the concrete paved area, and began to follow her because she had a “nice butt.” Deterick began to video tape her as well. I asked Deterick if I could see the video, where I could. Deterick showed me on the phone, a female who he was recording with his phone and following. The video was not filmed all at once and was in different segments.
