CLARKE COUNTY, Ga. – Tyler J. Williams, a four-star recruit from Florida, recently announced his commitment to Georgia despite fervent interest in a few Sunshine State schools, including Central Florida and the University of Miami. He hails from Armwood High School in Mango, a city located approximately 13 miles northeast of Tampa.
As of the end of June, Williams’ decision positioned the University of Georgia into the number three slot in the 247Sports Composite ranking for the class of ’25. He is the third receiver (along with Talyn Taylor and Tyler Blackshear, both four-star recruits) and the 16th commitment for UGA’s class of 2025.
Williams averaged approximately 22.5 yards per catch and totaled 585 receiving yards, with 26 caught passes last season, 15 of which resulted in touchdowns. He completed five additional return touchdowns as well.
