On 10/16/2025 at 1011 I responded to the Family Dollar, 2051 Austell Road, in reference to a medical call where it was stated a white female had been attacked.

I made contact with [VICTIM #1]. She stated she was asleep in the trash can area of the parking lot when a black male started to beat her with his fists and feet. She stated he had on a black hoodie, a black and white mask, blue jeans, and his shoes had white on them. She stated he was approximately 5’7-5’8 and had a slender build. [VICTIM #1] had a moderate laceration just above her left eye, golf-ball sized swelling just under her left eye that made her left eye swell shut to where she could no longer see out of it, and a large abrasion on her right forearm. She was transported to Kennestone Hospital by Metro unit 240.

We checked the cameras at Family Dollar, Save n’ Go (Mercado liquor store; 2097 Austell Road), the BP gas station (455 Pat Mell Road), and the Marietta Academy (444 Pat Mell Road). The Family Dollar did not have any video of a subject matching the description provided and only had cameras facing NW in the front of the parking lot. Save n’ Go did not have anyone present with access to view playback footage, but had a camera pointed towards the rear exit of Family Dollar (camera number 14).

BP footage showed a male walk from the Pat Mell Road exit of Family Dollar at 1003 camera time (approximately 1004 real time; camera number 11 on the left tv panel) wearing what appeared to be a white-hooded dark-colored hoodie, blue jeans, and white shoes. The male walked SB on Lorene Drive, but we were not able to get access to camera number 2 on the right tv panel which showed a better view of Lorene Drive to get a better description of this male. It was the only subject seen exiting from that exit from 0940 until we arrived on scene. The Marietta Academy did not have any useful camera angles.

We searched the area but were unable to locate anyone matching the description.

I contacted Crimes Against Persons and spoke with Detective Sgt Jackson. I notified him of the incident and what we were able to get from the camera footage.
