[NARRATIVE #1 on August 23, 2025]

On 8/23/2025 at approximately 1648 hours I, Officer Perkerson, and PTO Jenks were dispatched to [4000 BLOCK] Avalon Pkwy in reference to a domestic dispute. While enroute, dispatch advised that the complainant stated his husband’s roommate had attempted to poison him.

Upon arrival, I made contact with [REDACTED] and [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] stated that himself and [REDACTED] were packing for an upcoming trip, while also cooking meatballs in his airfryer. [VICTIM #1] explained that the kitchen started to smell odd and he suspected that his food had been tampered with. [VICTIM #1] explained that he and his roommate, Boonkait Sudhasirikul, have had a history of arguments in the past. He also stated would not consider any of their interactions as confrontational. I asked [VICTIM #1] where Boonkait was at and he advised Boonkait had left a few minutes before our arrival in his tan Chevrolet Cruz bearing Ga license plate [REDACTED].

[VICTIM #1] explained that because of the history with Boonkait, he had installed a hidden camera in the kitchen. [VICTIM #1] provided video of the incident. I observed the video to show an older Asian male wearing a white shirt and blue shorts enter the kitchen from the left with a red spray can, move some items in front of the airfryer, open the airfryer basket, spray the product in the basket, close the basket, and exit the kitchen to the left with the red spray can in hand.

I followed [VICTIM #1] to the kitchen where the airfryer was located. [VICTIM #1] pulled the basket from the airfryer. Inside, I observed meatballs in the basket and a chemical smell emitting from the basket. I asked [VICTIM #1] if the airfryer was only his property. [VICTIM #1] explained that each person in the house has their own kitchen supplies and appliances. I observed separate shelving that contained food items and appliances. [VICTIM #1] pointed out a shelf that he claimed to belong to Boonkait. I observed the shelf to contain food products and a microwave. In the dining room, which is located to the left of the kitchen, I observed a red spray can of Raid Defend Roach and Ant spray matching the can pictured in the video.

I advised [VICTIM #1] that I would document the incident and provided him a case number.

Later, Sgt Bobo returned to the residence to seize the airfryer and Raid Defense spray for evidence. Sgt Bobo observed that Boonkait’s tan Chevrolet Cruz was located in the driveway. Sgt Bobo observed Boonkait to be in his vehicle and spoke with him about the incident. (see supplemental)

Officer Angulo transported Boonkait to the Cobb County Adult Detention Center and turned custody of Boonkait over to me. I escorted Boonkait inside and turned him over to jail staff along with all of his personal belongings.

I returned to the Kennesaw Police Department and obtained warrant 25-W-7120, signed by Judge Hicks, for the charge of Aggravated Assault.

Video and a photo provided by [VICTIM #1] were submitted to Kennesaw Police CID for evidence.

[NARRATIVE #2 on August 24, 2025]

On 08/24/25 at approximately 1900, I, Sergeant Bobo, returned to [4000 BLOCK] Avalon Parkway to retrieve evidence – specifically the air fryer and meatballs that had been sprayed with Raid along with the can of Raid Defend Ant & Roach Killer – for an assault that occurred at the residence earlier.

I arrived to the area of the house and observed a gold Chevrolet Cruze backed into the driveway. The vehicle was occupied by a lone occupant – the driver. I called Officer Jenks and asked her for the description of the male and his vehicle. She advised the male, identified as Boonkiat Sudhasirikul, was an older Asian male wearing a white shirt and that he drives a gold Chevrolet Cruze. I advised her that I observed the male in the driveway and that I was going to make contact with him

I made contact with Boonkiat at his vehicle. I asked him to step out of the car so that we could talk. I asked Boonkiat where he had come from and he stated he had been at a marina in Cherokee County. I asked him if he had been in an argument with his roommate earlier today and he advised no. I asked Boonkiat if he had messed with his roommate’s food at all today and he advised no.

I further asked if he had been around his roommate’s air fryer today and he again advised no. I asked him if there was video showing him around the air fryer would he change his answer and he advised “I don’t think so.” Boonkiat then advised that he and his roommate had a disagreement. I asked what the disagreement was about and he said it was “normal” about not getting along. Boonkiat later advised the argument occurred the previous week.

Boonkiat advised he has lived at the house since June and that he rents a room. He advised his roommate, [VICTIM #1], also rents a room at the house. I asked Boonkiat if there was an ant or cockroach problem at the house and he advised “not that he knows of.” He then advised that there has been a pest problem at the house lately and that earlier in the day he used the ant and cockroach spray in his bathroom. I asked him if he used the spray in the kitchen at all and he advised no. He then stated he used the spray on some of his stuff near the fireplace.

I placed Boonkiat in handcuffs and advised him he was under arrest for aggravated assault. The handcuffs were checked for fit and double locked. I searched him incident to arrest for contraband with negative results. Custody was transferred to a backup officer for transport to Cobb County ADC.

I went into the house, made contact with [VICTIM #1], and retrieved the air fryer with its food contents along with the can of Raid. I then secured them in my patrol vehicle. I provided [VICTIM #1] information for obtaining a TPO and confirmed with him how to retrieve a copy of the report.

I transported the evidence back to Kennesaw Police headquarters. Custody of the items were transferred to Detective Heintz.
