On 11/11/2025, at approximately 1707 hours, I, Officer Papageorge, was dispatched to a hit-and-run at 1955 Cobb Pkwy. Dispatch advised that the complainant, [VICTIM #1], was in 2023 black Chevrolet Trailblazer (GA TAG [REDACTED]), which was struck by a 2024 black Chevrolet 3500 (GA TAG [REDACTED]), while at a stop sign. [VICTIM #1] further advised that she approached the driver of the truck and informed them of the collision, but the driver stated that it did happen before leaving on foot.
Upon my arrival, I contacted [VICTIM #1]. She advised that she was leaving and stopped at a not four-way stop in the parking lot near Mod Pizza. [VICTIM #1] stated that the 3500 was already stopped at the stop sign. She advised that the 3500 began to make a left turn into the Mod Pizza parking lot and struck her vehicle. After the collision, [VICTIM #1] followed the truck into the parking lot and informed the driver-later identified as Ericka Stone-that she had just hit her vehicle. [VICTIM #1] advised that Ericka denied any collision and left the scene, walking toward Mod Pizza.
I asked [VICTIM #1] to describe Ericka. [VICTIM #1] advised that Ericka was approximately five feet eight inches tall, wearing a blue durag, black hoodie, and black sweatpants. I asked [VICTIM #1] if Ericka had provided any contact information or advised where she was going. [VICTIM #1] stated that she had not.
I then observed the damage on [VICTIM #1]’ s Trailblazer and the 3500, which was still parked in the parking lot. On the Trailblazer, I observed scratches and paint transfer on the front driver’s side. On the 3500, I observed fresh scratches on the front driver’s side bumper.
I ran the 3500′ s tag through NCIC/GCIC, and it returned to [REDACTED]. I contacted [REDACTED] via cell phone. [REDACTED] advised that he was out of town for work and that either his wife, [WITNESS #1], or his stepdaughter, Ericka, might be driving the vehicle. I then spoke to [WITNESS #1] via phone, who confirmed that Ericka was driving the truck and that she worked at Mod Pizza.
After speaking with [WITNESS #1], I entered Mod Pizza and contacted Ericka, who matched the description provided by [VICTIM #1]. I asked Ericka what happened, and she stated that she was coming to work. Ericka said she turned into the parking lot from Crater Lake Dr, stopped at the four-way stop, then turned left into the Mod Pizza parking lot, passing [VICTIM #1]’s vehicle before parking. Ericka advised that after she parked, [VICTIM #1] approached her regarding the collision. Ericka stated that she observed damage to [VICTIM #1]’ s vehicle but did not believe she caused it. She confirmed that she did not leave any contact information before entering Mod Pizza.
Due to Ericka leaving the scene without providing her information and the presence of physical evidence consistent with a collision, I placed Ericka under arrest for Hit-and-Run (OCGA 40-6-270). I advised her that she was under arrest and secured her hands behind her back with handcuffs, which were checked for fit and double-locked. I searched her person for weapons and contraband with negative results. I placed Ericka in the rear passenger seat of my patrol vehicle, secured her with a seatbelt.
I turned custody of the Chevrolet 3500 over to [WITNESS #1].
I transported Ericka, along with her personal belongings and necessary paperwork, to Cobb ADC, where I transferred custody to jail staff without incident. I searched the rear seat of my patrol car before and after transport with negative results for contraband.
An collision report was completed in Gears.
