On October 14, 2025, at approximately 0526, I responded to a domestic dispute at [10 BLOCK] Latimer Lane, Kennesaw GA. The caller, later identified as [VICTIM #1], could be heard by 911 dispatchers crying, and unable to talk. Additionally, dispatchers reported hearing a male voice screaming in the background of the call.

On scene, [VICTIM #1] stated that after finding out that her husband, identified at Nestor Lopez, had cheated on her, a verbal argument began between the two. [VICTIM #1] stated that during the argument, Nestor became increasingly angry and slammed her phone on the floor. [VICTIM #1] then went downstairs to her mother in-law to inform her of the cheating and the argument. When [VICTIM #1] informed Nestor that she had told his mother about the incident, [VICTIM #1] advised that Nestor threw her onto the couch and began to choke her with his hands to the point where she could not breath and she felt like she was going to die.

[VICTIM #1] continued to state that Nestor then covered her mouth and nose with his hands. Nestor’s father, [WITNESS #1], then came out of his room, and asked Nestor to stop. [VICTIM #1] stated that while Nestor was distracted with his father, she ran back upstairs and yelled for help. Nestor followed her upstairs and again began to choke [VICTIM #1] on the upstairs couch, as well as pull her hair and hold her down on the couch.

It was at this point when Nestor’s sister, [WITNESS #2], came downstairs and separated the two.

Nestor stated that after [VICTIM #1] found out that he had cheated a week prior, a verbal argument ensued. He advised that the argument escalated, and that at one point during the argument, he did put his hands over [VICTIM #1]’s mouth. Additionally, Nestor advised that he was so angry, he threw furniture across the rooms in the house as well as [VICTIM #1]’s phone. When asked if he had put his hands around [VICTIM #1]’s neck, Nestor advised that he did not remember, but he put his hands over [VICTIM #1]’s mouth and nose.

[WITNESS #2] stated that after hearing the verbal altercation, she came downstairs from her room and found Nestor standing over [VICTIM #1] while she was on the couch. [WITNESS #2] advised that Nestor was swinging his arms in [VICTIM #1]’s direction but was unsure if he touched her. [WITNESS #2] then advised that she did see Nestor grab [VICTIM #1]’s hair.

[WITNESS #1] advised Officer Zelaya-Cruz that when he heard the verbal altercation, he opened his bedroom door and saw Nestor grabbing [VICTIM #1], at which point he advised Nestor to stop.

There was visible bruising and veins starting to form around [VICTIM #1]’s neck. Additionally, [VICTIM #1]’s phone screen was cracked, which she advised it was not cracked prior to Nestor throwing her phone.

[VICTIM #1] was checked by Metro EMS personnel and was not transported to the hospital. Nestor was transported by Officer Zelaya- Cruz to Cobb ADC where he was booked. A warrant was issued for Nestor for Aggravated Assault Strangulation and Battery (Warrant#: 25-w-8769).
