On July 12, 2026 at 1548hrs, I, D/S McKenzie, responded to Smokey Rd Middle School in reference to an assault with injuries.

When I arrived on scene, I discovered that there was an altercation during an adult soccer game on the soccer field at Smokey Road Middle School that began with Alan Martinez Bermudez being fouled. After the foul, Alan and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] began pushing one another back and forth. After the physical altercation was resolved, Alan walked toward his car while making the statement that he was going to get a gun. Alan returned with a gray utility knife. While holding the utility knife in his right hand and making stabbing motions, Alan told [REDACTED BY AGENCY] that he was going to kill him.

A bystander named [VICTIM #1] attempted to disarm Alan, and during that [VICTIM #1] received a cut to his right thumb. Another bystander stated that they were calling the police, and Alan fled the scene in a 2007 Honda Civic GA tag [REDACTED].

I interviewed witness, [WITNESS #1]. [WITNESS #1] stated that it was a “heated” game then a brawl started. After everything was de-escalated, Alan Martinez Bermudez threatened to kill [REDACTED] and he was going to get a gun. Alan returned with a razor blade or knife. Alan ran at [REDACTED BY AGENCY], but bystanders stopped him. When the cops were called Alan drove off.

D/S Vives and D/S Munster went to the address that was associated with the tag, [1200 BLOCK] Hwy 16E. Deputies located Alan on scene still in his vehicle. Alan was taken into custody at the address and transported to the jail by D/S Vives. During the incident, there were children, women, and other bystanders on the field observing and playing in the soccer game. I obtained a witness statement form from [WITNESS #1].

D/S Vives read Alan his miranda rights. Alan agreed to speak to us. Alan stated that he was elbowed during a soccer game. Pushing began to happen and punches were thrown. Alan denied telling anyone he was going to get a gun or that he was going to kill anyone. He did state that he did return to get a object but could not remember what it was. D/S Vives is completing a supplemental report due to the offender only speaking spanish.
