On Wednesday, 07/08/2026, at approximately 0835 hours, I (Deputy McIntosh) was dispatched to 620 Bullsboro Drive (Coweta County) in reference to a dispute.

While en route to the call, the Coweta County 911 dispatcher advised that the 911 caller stated that a male later identified as Avante Hennis was possibly trying to push someone [VICTIM #1] in a vehicle against their will, and believed he was going to start shooting at the location.

Once on scene, the 911 caller [WITNESS #1] stated that two vehicles (a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a Kia Sorento) were following each other from the incident location. As a result of the initial 911 call and the fact that the vehicles were leaving the location, a large law enforcement response was triggered, tying up multiple units for this one call.

I stopped the Jeep. Once the vehicle stopped, I made contact with the [VICTIM #1] inside the jeep, who advised that there was a dispute at the hotel. [VICTIM #1] stated that while in the dispute, Hennis stated he was going to shoot him up, and began waving his hand around in the air with it shaped like a gun, then began reaching around his waistband. [VICTIM #1] stated that he believed that Hennis had a gun and was going to use it.

I then went to the hotel and spoke with [WITNESS #1]. [WITNESS #1] advised that she was in fear for the other involved party’s life, and believed that Hennis was trying to force them into his Uber, due to his yelling and screaming, reaching at his waistband, and waving his hand in the air as if it were a gun. [WITNESS #1] believed that Hennis might start shooting at the location. I was not able to find any proof that Hennis actually said he would shoot the location up or shoot [VICTIM #1].

As a result, Deputy Gregg detained Hennis and brought him back to the incident location. While I was at the incident location, I was able to look at security camera footage. I observed in the footage that Hennis arrived at the location in an Uber. After Hennis got out of the Uber, [VICTIM #1] and Hennis began talking, while talking you can see that Hennis was exhibiting signs of someone who was yelling by lunging while talking, rapidly moving his hands, pacing back and forth, and gesturing toward [VICTIM #1]. Additionally, in the video footage, I observed Hennis raise his hand and shape it like a gun, wave it at [VICTIM #1], and the portion of the hotel behind him. The video footage did not have audio, so I was unable to hear if there were any threats made.

I then advised Hennis that he was under arrest for disorderly conduct. I placed Hennis in handcuffs, which were double-locked and checked for fit. I then searched Hennis incident to arrest with negative findings. Hennis was placed in the rear of my patrol vehicle and secured in a seatbelt. I then transported Hennis to the Coweta County Jail, and he was turned over to jail staff.

Hennis’s phone was seized, placed into evidence, and a supplemental report was completed in reference to case #2607000183.

Henning’s was also criminally trespassed from the hotel, due to being the root cause of the majority of the issues at the location in the past.
